(This is a religious and a non-religious question, of course.)

"AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry said Monday that Texans who are legally licensed to carry concealed handguns should be able to take the weapons anywhere, including churches, bars, courthouses and college campuses. "

Do you want people carrying guns into your church?

Is it responsible for people to carry guns into bars...where people are drinking heavily...and are more prone to bar fights...

Is this really the solution to our nations problems...for all of us to strap on a gun?

Is this what our world has become...a bunch of vigilantes?

Does this scare you as much as it does me?

Your thoughts?

i just broke up with my boyfriend of two years. one of the major reasons it ended was due to our relationship with god. we both feel a very strong calling from a higher being. this is undeniable. our relationship began to go down hill the more we sat on the fence about it. although we both would partake in different vices he began to admittedly REALLY abuse these things in order to block out this strong calling. he has asked me for help. i want to help him but am very confused. i realize our relationship can no longer go on. but how does god feel about 2 scared people using each other as a crutch to come to him? the honest truth is that turning our lives over to Him is going to cause each of us to lose some very special people in our lives and we are scared. due to our current lifestyles there would have to be some MAJOR changes. how do i go about this? should i just break away from my ex and work on me? i'm scared of where he will be if i don't help him.

That you think you'll explode?

Maybe it's just that it's such a beautiful day.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." ~ Albert Einstein

"The possession of knowledge does not kill the sense of wonder and mystery. There is always more mystery." ~ Anais Nin

"People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child--our own two eyes. All is a miracle." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

I have found so many sites 'condemning' people like me because I'm not Christian. I in fact belive we should discover for ourselves what we beleive, and that means we don't have to fix a label to it, its almost impossible sometimes. I am a proud Pagan, but have fused my Pagan beliefs with Hinduism while using E Sara e Kali as the guardian of fate. What do the Christians want to do to me? I don't understand the problem. I would never want to make anyone else believe in my religion unless it makes sense to them. People have tried to convert me before, telling me that if I don't, I'll burn in 'hell' for all eternity and they'll pray for my soul. I don't believe in 'hell'.
Tell me what you think....

What gave them the right to declare that it was their way or the highway?

or when their beliefs are proved moot?

BUT They believe they're actually "helping" us when they preach their delusional religions on us?

What is more disrespectful?

To try to guide someone's way of thinking by means of logical statements and conclusions?

Or to try to convince others of a freakish delusion of an imaginary being?

It seems to me that alot of Christains do not really love God, but they do not want to go to hell after they die so they do what it supposedly necessary to avoid the fiery pits of hell. Alot of them talk about dying and going to live with their family members happily ever after in heaven, but that seems a little far-fetched. I imagine that if there is a heaven that those very few who are lucky to go will spend the majority of their time worshipping God, not reuniting and living it up with their family members? Am I wrong? Are Christains really concerned about building a lasting relationship with God or just trying to enjoy heaven after death?

Do you believe that the downfall of religion was by the nature of the bible or the way man handled Jesus’ teachings?
What I mean is that Jesus says confusing things, then closed minded people with biased opinions look to the bible for validation of their slanted beliefs.
Do you believe that if Christians had followed the teachings of Jesus correctly then this backward hatred would not exist (e.g. It is ok to hate you because you’re not a Christian)?
If anyone wants to say, “Jesus did not exist so it doesn’t matter” Go ahead, but regardless of his existence the religion does exist, so how people interpret the religion is key in how they will practice it.
Religion is used by people to control the minds of others, but the other side of the coin is that people use religion to validate murders(9/11, Waco) So I believe how people interpret, even a religion based on false claims can still have a very negative impact if done improperly.

Anyone who has read the bible has to be aware of the number of people God either killed outright (the Flood and the Ten Plagues of Egypt come to mind) or whose deaths have been sanctioned by God (all the capital crimes listed in Leviticus, for example).

But when I read the bible, I can't find a -single- example of -anyone- being killed by Satan.

On the one hand, we have God drowing every single baby on the planet, and all life not on board the ark during the Flood, and on the other hand, we have Satan who hasn't killed anyone.

When asked why people die, we are told "it is God's will". When asked why people are sick or born with birth defects, we are told "it is God's will".

Just look at the book of Job: God getting his holy jollies by plaguing Job just to show Satan how loyal Job is to God. Job is treated as nothing more than an amusing pet whom God can torture willy-nilly just to prove a point to Satan.

So who is the true Enemy of Humanity?

The gurus, mullahs, reverends, monks and every single preacher of any religion all say one word. Religion is for prosperity of humans. My foot. The religion has spilit the world into pieces and all these so called preachers are spreading nothing but hatred which is leading the world towards destruction. Why can't we humans live like other creatures of God like Male and Female. Is this classification of humans is not enough to live happily?

1. We're born bad (that wont cause good behavior)
2. God loves me no matter what I do (this causes low standards)
3. The world will get worse until Jesus comes (why try?)
4. This life is just a passing ground (why value life?)
5. Jesus died for my dirt(sins) (so real Christians can murder)

Fundamentalists..I really want to know your view.

You quote the Bible as saying that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God and that homosexuality is an abomination...and that people are not born that way.

However, hermaphrodites...are irrefutably "born that way".

Which sex do they mate with to avoid being gay and sinning?

Will you answer the question directly please?
