Muslim believe that Jesus was one of the great prophets of God (Allah). Jesus was treated badly by the Jew-leaders so at the time of crucifixtion he was lifted to heavens safely.

Not only Muslim but Disciples and true followers of Jesus Christ, in early Christianity untill 6th Century AD also believed the same idealogy.

If you read Gospel of Bernabas you can still find the same facts. This Gospel was rejected by Church after the advent of prophet Muhammad in 6th century AD since the name of prophet Muhammad was clearly mentioned as an awaited prophet of God.

Truth prevails itself. Inspite of several amendments and revisions in Bible one can still find the truth about the so called criscifixion:

Where is the tomb if he was killed and burried ?
Why Jesus was not found in the tomb ?
Why Jesus sid to Mary magdalene " Don't Touch Me " ?
-because he was alive and could be hurt!
Why Jesus said to his disciples " It is me your Lord in flash and bones ?

Why Jesus asked to eat some thing?
Do you think a Spirit feels hunger and pain??

God bless you all.

Regarding Crucifixion Of Jesus

“That they rejected faith: that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge. That they said (in boast) "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary the Apostle of Allah"; but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow for of a surety they killed him not. Nay Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power Wise. And there is none of the People of the Book(Christians and Jews) but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them.”
Qur'an Chapter 4, Verses 156-159

I'm not sure where the event took place. Muhammad ascended to heaven from Al-Aqsa Mosque not Dome of Rock. It's not only you but even many muslims confuse between the names of these mosques.

Dating back to around 2500 BC, the Ebla tablets provide very important information regarding the history of religions. The most important feature of the Ebla tablets, discovered by archaeologists in 1975 and which have been the subject of much research and debate ever since, is that they contain the names of three prophets referred to in holy scriptures.

The discovery after thousands of years of the Ebla tablets and the information they contain is extremely important from the point of view of clarifying the geographical location of societies revealed in the Qur'an.

Around 2500 BC, Ebla was a kingdom covering an area that included the Syrian capital Damascus and south-east Turkey. This kingdom reached a cultural and economic peak but later, as happened to a great many civilizations, it disappeared from the stage of history. It was apparent from the records that were kept that the Kingdom of Ebla was a major cultural and commercial center of the time. (1) The people of Ebla possessed a civilization that established state archives, built libraries and recorded commercial contracts in written form. They even had their own language, known as Eblaite.

As muslims , we believe that ISA(AS) (AKA JESUS) was not crucified & that Isa(as) will come down & embrace Islam & he will declare Islam the true & final religion & he will also state that he is not the son of god but the messenger of GOD.

We also believe that when Allah (swt) took Isa (as) up to heaven , he was a jew & his name was Yeshua , he was not a christian & he never said anyone should call him Jesus Christ. His teachings was a continuation of judaism.

The dome of Rock - you are confusing it with the Masjid-al-Aqsa .

Hi,

Yes Jesus (peace be upon him) was taken up to the heaven and a person was placed instead of him. Jesus (peace be upon him) will return to this earth as a true Messiah. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has died and is not taken away as Jesus (peace be upon him) was taken.

I hope this helps , no hesitation in contacting further.
