I laugh when I read the question, but I am serious. I have never had any problems making friends when I was a sinner, but now that i am born again I have had the hardest time meeting new people (I am NOT talking about meeting someone to date). People who know me describe me as being friendly, and I am not a shy person.

Your initial response to this question may be "meet them at church", and believe me, that was the first place I went. My church has around 5,000 members and several different fellowship groups. I have joined one (directed to my age group 20-30 year olds) and after several months I still have not made any new friends. I thank all of you for your great answers in advance.

Could there had been life ages ago on the other planets?
Why do we expect to find life at the time that ours exist?

Could the other planets have a different purpose than the earth?

I think from a creation stand point, that God created the other planets as servant to earth to sustain life where he has created it. Here.

I mean He could have made our souls right? Then zapped them down to Earth and we would have existed as spirits here. That way we would not have to die and we'd just float up to heaven when we were ready? Does this make any sense.? And dont try to quote me Genises cause I know it by heart! I am asking a question and I expect an answer to the question not a referral to a point I already know. So please attempt an answer!

Ever notice how Protestant communities take on these names which do not necessarily accentuate what they are or claim to be but what they claim other Christians are not such a bible believing church, a reform religion, a bible church, "true Christian", "born again believers", etc, etc... please feel free to add others

or did I misunderstand him? He started to talk about Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Airlines. Then he said that Hitler & the majority of people like him were atheists. I'm not an atheist but if I heard him correctly, I'd be very insulted. How come there's no backlash for those statements?

I think this is an interesting question. If Jesus came back to earth right now, would people believe it was really him or just a nut case???

Let's say I decide that everything I can know or infer based on observation and testing is not all there is in the universe, but that in addition to that, I must have faith in some things, evidence or no evidence. Once I decide I must have faith, what tool do I use to call anything false? Pixies, unicorns, santa claus, God, Buddha: Prior to faith, I had a reasonable suspicion (not proof) that these things were false, because I had no confirmation of any of it. Now, with faith, I no longer have the tools to claim anything as false, because by using faith, I've thrown out the tools I normally use to infer all things as either true or false. Thoughts?

You can't get along with us here what makes you think we'd get along in a church? It drives you nuts that we question everything and want proof- why would you want to convert someone who drives you nuts? Please don't be condescending.

Music, chanting and song play a large part in all the major religions of the world. If you can, would you please list a hymn, chant, song or devotional from your faith that you feel inspires you the most. Also, if you are able, provide a link to a place where I could listen to it. Atheists/agnostics, list any music that makes you feel full of bliss. Much thanks to all of you.

Scientists just removed dna from dinosaur bones ...
Now first of all, let's think about this. Most molecular biologists will tell you that DNA could not possibly exist for more than 10,000 years," he notes. So, since evolutionists believe DNA does not last millions of years, he says the discovery of DNA in a dinosaur bone is consistent with the biblical account of creation.

Why are there so many misunderstandings between sects. i see mud slinging from christians to eachother. it's sad that you christians can't even agree on what the gospels say. How can you believe your religion is true when you have other people following the same bible but you think they are completely wrong.

It's seems to be abortion week for me. I've answered a few questions aksed by pro-lifers.

Usually I point out I'm pro-choice, but that I can understand the pro-life sentiment. I point out that everybody is actually against abortion. Besides the freedom to choose, the whole debate is more about at which point somebody thinks life starts. At conception or later.

Anyway, in those answers I also talk about the high amount of deaths among women caused by unhealthy illegal abortion. I also mention the higher suicide rates among teenage pregnant girls in countries where abortion is illegal.

Now, for the 7th time in a few days I receive an e-mail from pro-lifers that answer me with something like: "those women and girls wouldn't have died had they not had sex in the first place".

I know, 7 pro-lifers doesn't even begin to be a statistic number. But can a few other pro-lifers please restore my faith in humanity a little bit? Death is not a good punishment for pre-marital sex, right?
