I hear that God is perfection. So where does this perfection come into play.

Every human being that is born is born in the image of God and is good. It is up to us, out of our free will, what we do with that. We can follow the image that is within us, or go against it. Sometimes a child can be raised wrong and turns toward the dark side because of this. But as J.K. Rowling says, of Lord Voldemort, no one is born evil.

He was created in God's image yes, we all are as God's children. Children ARE perfect aren't they? Jesus said a man who won't hesitate to ask a child seven days old of the Kingdom of God will find it. Children haven't been polluted by the ugliness of everyday life and society until they get older and get jaded like the rest of us.

Serial killers are the same, but they have turned to the darkness and away from God, and thus, are perfect no longer.

You look like Him, you have the choice to act like Him or not. Quit trying to blame Him for the stupidity of man. Are you afraid to be responsible for the things you do? Sounds childish doesn't it? Not innocent childish, more like spoiled brat childish. You know better, you just dont like it, so you want to blame someone else for it.

Will a serial killer get into heaven? Yes! There will be many people who have done very bad things in heaven, but they accepted salvation and forgiveness through the Lord and so their slate is wiped clean. If even THEY can recieve it, why cant you as well? You can, you choose not too. You are not perfect so long as sin is in you, and it's in all of us, so none of us are perfect.

God IS perfect. Look at the world around you, without us screwing it up, it's perfectly balanced. It's not until man starts to destroy and alter things that it gets out of wack. You were given a way out of your predicament. A faultless plan that allowed you to keep your will to do whatever you will do, yet save many at the same time. Nobody is forcing you, it's a choice you yourself make. He kept His word by giving you the choice, He will keep His word about everything else as well. He does not lie, it's perfect.

God said let us create man in our image,so he did.
That has nothing to do with God giving us free will, God can live in us but we must first accept him. It would be my guess that a serial killer has not yet accepted him.
The perfection comes in when you do accept him and ask him to forgive you of sin, when we realize we are sinners and can not be anything without him we are perfect in his eyes.
That don't mean we won't make mistakes again, that just means we are forgiven. Not one deserves to go to Gods great kingdom he has planed for us but through Jesus and by his grace he has made a way, no matter what anyone has done will be forgiven just for asking and trusting him.

you'll notice a reflection does not give a full view of the subject, only the part facing the refelctive surface.

God gave man being. Absolute perfection (without flaw in any area) is basically impossible for a physical creature, especially since God has things we could never have: not beoing created, not eventually going to die, etc.

we as humans were given emotions, desires, the ability to choose, the ability to have preferences, a mind, a memory, and an ethereal part of us: soul, and we were given a spirit.

as for perfection, that's not something He could've given us.

The souls of individuals were created for companionship with God (the Whole). The pattern that God used to create souls was the pattern of God's own Spirit. The spirit is life. From the spirit, the mind builds patterns. From the mind, the physical creation is the result. This is how the spirit, the mind, and individuality, became the pattern for souls. This is how cause, action, and effect became the pattern for everything. First there was the spirit (the first cause); then there was the action which withdrew spirit into itself; then there was the resulting individuality of God.

At first there was little difference between the consciousness of the new individual (i.e., soul) and its consciousness of identity with God (i.e., spirit). Souls merely watched the flow of the Mind, somewhat as people daydreaming, marveling at its power and versatility. Then souls began to act itself, imitating and paralleling what Mind was doing. Gradually souls acquired experience, becoming a complementary rather than an imitative force. It helped to extend, modify, and regulate creation.

Certain souls became aggressive with their own power and began to experiment with it. They mingled with the dust of the stars and the winds of the spheres - feeling them - and becoming part of them. One result of this was an unbalance between the positive and negative forces. To feel things demanded the negative force. To express through things (and directing and managing them) required the positive force. Another result of souls becoming aggressive with their own power was the gradual weakening of the link between the two states of consciousness (i.e., spirit and the soul). Some souls became more concerned with and aware of their own creations rather than God's. This resulted in the fall of certain souls to an even lower consciousness. The Bible allegorically refers to this event as the Fall in the Garden of Eden and the revolt of the angels in the Book of Revelation.

This event is also the basis for the cosmology of Christian Gnosticism and Jewish mysticism.

the thing is,we can say we believe but,our actions speak louder than words and if a serial killer says he believes in God yet he murders people, what do his actions prove? that he has absolutely nothing to do with God

Yes everyone is created in God's own image, but he gives you a choice whether or not to reveal him through you. You decide if he shows through your life, or you can totally reject him, and appear as someone without "perfection"

Christians will say that God is perfect, but when you question HIS perfectness, they will give excuses or whatever to then mean something else.

The basic premise behind their argument, which pertains to your question, is that God is perfect and he gave us free will to act out our sins. In reality, it is not Free will, which governs your actions......it is FEAR of the consequences.

I am always amazed that preachers tell you of free will, but the leave out what it is dependent on: FEAR.

Take your favorite song.
Now imagine the worst band in the world playing it as about as terribly as someone could.
Does the fault lie with the song itself or the way the band played it?
