Some showing off is necessary. Some is just too much.
For example, in your career, whether you work for a company or are your own boss, you have to show off your skills. You have to let people know your sucesses so you can validate what you're being paid. If you don't show off some, you might not only miss your raise, but you might also lose your job.
That is just one example. There are other times where showing off is good. However, too much showing off can backfire on you.

Depends on what it is and if it's done continually. If you had learned something new and decided to show others how well you do it... I wouldn't have a problem with. If you feel you have to show that same thing over and over... then it just gets boring.

Yes - showing off something you've achieved is good. Continuing to do so for longer than necessary make you look like a w ....r.

Yes, sometimes. Only sometimes. Humility is better, but it's ok to get all fancy once in a while.
