...and the newborn cannot survive without the support of the mother, why is killing the child before it's born an ok free choice, but killing it after it is born a murder? Let's see the "logic."

The newborn CAN survive without the mother - even a man can nurse the baby. However an unborn fetus under a certain age is dependent on the mother's womb and cannot survive.

It all depends on when you consider the fetus human. What I don't understand is why if a woman wants an abortion, the law considers it non-human, but if a drunk driver causes an accident that leads to the fetus dying, why is it then considered a human and the driver is charged with involuntary man-slaughter? Is it a human or not? You can't have it both ways. A life has ended whether it's by the choice of the mother or by an outside source.

There is no logic.

The "logic" is that up to whatever point people decide its legal to murder their child the child is not human its just a lump of fetal tissue not human at all

However if the fetal tissue ever was allowed to develop would it ever have a chance of being say a dog or a cat or a rat? If not if the DNA (yeah science folks) say its human from the point of conception then wheres the logic?

Mt Radio is it the childs fault the mother was raped?

There is no logic in murder, unplanned, unwanted, whatever. CASE CLOSED. STOP KILLING INNOCENT BABIES!! I dont give a rat's behind how the baby was conceived, you do not murder it for that. I don't give a crap whose body it is, the baby has rights also. Now thumb me down all you whining fems, but you get the ultimate thumbs down for condoning murder in the first degree, and you will answer for it.

If your father was on a ventilator and tubes to provide nourishment, and the doctor said that in 8 months he will be fine. Would you pull the plug? How could you possibly think that he is a life if he needs food piped in to him? This thinking has been around for a long time. You who support this do not know what company you keep.

A newborn can survive without its mother. It unfortunately happens a lot. So long as there are other adults who can care for it, it can survive just fine.

The abortion limit is set at 24 weeks because that is the realistic time a foetus has a probable chance of survival ex utero. Before then it is highly unlikely - although not impossible - that it will do so regardless of the care and attention it receives.

That's the difference.

Simple. To be protected by the laws of society one must be a member of that society. An unborn child is not a member of any society and not subject to the laws of that society. It might be subject to the laws of God, but that is not the same as society. It is the man made laws of the social system in which mankind lives that we are talking about, not the laws of God. You can not impose the laws of God in a pluralistic society where different people believe different things. Get it?

Newborns can indeed survive without the support of the mother. Someone has to care for them, but it could be anyone. Can just anyone care for the fetus in the uterus?

When a pregnant women is killed it is double murder. Kill just her unborn child it is legal. This is a clear double standard in our legal system.
