No manuscript of the Bible, in any language, says Jesus did not die, is not our Creator, and our God.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Paul all testify the same message. Could Muhammad be the false prophet Jesus said would deceive the very elect? (Matthew 24:11;24:24)

I have never read any of the Bible, but I know it is a book of fables based on a bunch of crap using my own instict. It's mathematically improbable there is a God. It is scientifically impossible Jesus was born from a virgin. If he did exist, he had a human father. He might have died on the cross, but it wasn't for our sins. I don't care if every scientist in the world said Jesus was divine and God was real. I still would not listen. I would assume those scientists are actually Christians. Most of Christianity isn't original, either. Most of it comes from Paganism.

Every time I ask Christians about Hell, someone pipes up saying 'he has to keep to his word, which promises unbelievers get tossed into Hell' (Rev. 21:8).

But God wrote the rules. When he was writing the rules, he could have written any rule he wanted for the sake of the unbelievers.

So why would a God of Love write a rule that unbelievers must be thrown into a place called Hell, rather than some -other- rule?

When Americans execute a murderer, they don't throw the murderer into a lake that burns with fire and brimstone. We'd consider that (at the least) cruel and unusual punishment.

And no one in the Western world executes unbelievers. Indeed, we get upset when this sort of thing occurs elsewhere.

Yet in Revelations 21, we find this God of Love throwing unbelievers into a lake that burns with fire and brimstone and Christians think this is the act of a just and loving God.

So why did a just and loving God write a rule requiring him to throw unbelievers into Hell?

I just saw an answer to another question that made me wonder. The quote was:

"...believer and unbeliever alike will someday stand before Christ to be judged...
the believer['s]... judgment will not be to determine if we are cast into the lake of fire, because that was settled once we believed the gospel and became “children of God.”...while our salvation is secure in Christ we will “still give an account of ourselves to God” (Romans 14:12), and should strive to do all things for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31)."

So what does that actually mean? I mean if salvation is already assured, what's the account for? What's the outcome if you can't give a good account of/for yourself?

I'm really curious, not trying to pick holes in anything, no ulterior motive (really!) Enough disclaimers already?

That is my husbands question. He is the Kindest, most wonderful man I have ever met. He has NO criminal record and has never known any part of his family except his mothers name - the name we use. His father was a Merchant Marine from Puerto Rico - I found 'that' out. My husband grew up in the upper - orphanages of New York City. He can' t even get his brith certificate. He cannot verifiy anything. Can someone please help. My husband has a Masters degree and has owned his own company - started on his own in Texas.

Thank You and God Bless.

I will send additional info as needed.

Please be kind - this is no joke.

Grace and God Bless!!!

I change my mind everyday. Somedays I believe in God and somedays I don't. I don't pray because I don't know if there is a God. I have not read the Bible at all, but I know it is based on fiction, just because the stories in there sound so fictional. The idea of there being a God sounds so crazy. Also, I find it hard to believe Jesus was born from a virgin mother and got ressurected from the dead. I don't believe anything the BIble says, because the Bible was rewritten many times after Jesus supposedly existed.

I have sinned before. But I payed for it. Every time I sin, I beat myself and I whip myself to remind me what Jesus went through. I don't give myself happiness ever. I am always depressed. I make life hard for myself because Jesus had a hard life and died for me.

In the Bible it say's that 144000 people will enter the gates of heaven, that is 20000 x the twelve tribes of Israel. So what makes you think that your one of the lucky ones. It's only the jews that were Gods chosen people so doesn't that count everyone else out?

And some go on to kill people which are a superior or inferior type of animal depending on your point of view. In short, why does the Government allow these cowardly types to own guns, just because they were needed for a while when the country was wilder and being settled?

Before answering, let me explain why I'm asking so you can address my question more specifically. An ordinary person on the street usually thinks atheism is the belief that there is no God. But intellectual atheists are quick to point out that atheism isn't a belief at all. Rather, it's a lack of belief in the existence of God.

Most of us have a hard time distinguishing that from agnosticism. Agnosticism is basically lack of knowledge, right? If you're agnostic, then you lack knowledge about whether there's a God or not. So you don't have a belief either way. So an agnostic's position could be summarized like so:

1. Lack of any belief that God exists.
2. Lack of any belief that God does not exist.

Whereas the intellectual atheist position can be summarized like so:

3. Lack of any belief that God exists.

The only difference between atheism and agnosticism is that atheists are silent about whether they have a belief that God does not exist.

to be continued...

This is a good question and the typical answer does not address the question. The question is about God and what we usually hear is an answer about humans: people have free will and God does not interfere with it. No matter how true this is, it shifts the emphasis of the question and avoids dealing with the felt divorce between our conceptions of God and our life experience.
The question must be analyzed before it can be answered. Who, or what, is God? If one conceives of God as a being whose nature is to intervene in the affairs of humans, stemming from a literal interpretation of Christian Myth, then we must wrestle with these questions when reality challenges our theories. However, to shift the question’s focus from God to humans is dishonest and weak. Rather than say God intervenes, when God obviously doesn’t, or saying there is no God, why can’t we simply avoid the extremes and admit that our ideas about God’s nature are incorrect?

I truly believe some of you do. I've noticed that it's mostly the Atheists who are careless.

Fellow Christians, please do not say that I'm generalizing because that's getting old. I'm getting tired of Christians looking heroic and thinking that they're better than others.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that since recorded history, the only "observed" miracles are plausible? I mean why do you never hear about someone growing back a amputated arm? Surely there are righteous and pious people in the world who have lost a arm or a leg. Does god hate amputees?
