Wow, John K, your really quite passionate about this. I take it that when believers are resurrected, they have a new incorruptible body, that no longer has desires to sin. Believers know that is part of the package, and accept it willingly. I don't know God as punishing people for sins of omission, or just plain old ignorance. For example Paul sinned against the church out of ignorance not wickedness. Then later through God's mercy we have Paul writing books of the Bible.
