I feel he kept trying different prophets to find one the world would listen to, instead they took each prophet and spun different beliefs out of them and completely screwed with what GOD wanted to happen.

Yes there are still Prophets today. Or the 5 fold ministry Jesus talks about would not be living today.
Read the Bible, Matt; Mark, Luke, John, Acts. While you read you pray God show you the truth. Don't let your mind and thoughts grab you, the answer is in your heart. That is where you asked Jesus to come into, the mind is what we have to renew in the word, "let this mind be in you, as it was in Christ Jesus". So Confusion come from not knowing, its in your mind that Satan can trick you if you don't know the word. He likes you right there, due to, your no threat to him. Hes got ya.
Not God. See I am a Prophets. I have many gifts in me, like the apostles. And there are still Apostles, Preachers, Teachers, Evangelist, Prophets, that's the 5 fold ministry, Jesus talked about. In the Church, he is the same yesterday, today and forever.

A prophet is someone who reveals a previously unknown wrongdoing while offering a new way to overcome it. As to why the Jew is referred to as the Chosen, God chooses what man generally rejects which maybe because God sees the whole picture while mankind uses tunnel vision. Don't you know that there have been many Prophets who have been killed by the fearful all over the world? The Christian Church teaches that anyone who doesn't follow their logic is a hell bound false prophet and crucifies them still.

God sent His messengers to His people those He choose to be called by His name. This means that the only people of old that had His prophets sent to them were the Israelites. Today there are many prophets in His Church. Prophecy is a gift of the Holy Spirit. There is no mantle of leadership attached to that gift. With you interest in the gift you might be one of them if you would reach out and take if gift of eternal life from the Hand of the Lord Jesus... Jim

Human beings existed first in the middle east, in the area of Iraq. Human population spread, from that spot, on outward.
It would make sense for God to send His prophets, first to those populated areas of the world in those days. God sent His prophets, mostly for the benefit of Israel and then later for all Gentile nations and people. Today God still has His prophets, although we now call them Evangelists. I think Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Jack Van Impe, John Hagee, Joel Osteen, Paula White are examples of Gods prophets today.
God Bless You....Peace.

God spoke to Abraham, saying: "You will be a blessing and all the peoples of the earth will be blessed through you." And so Abraham begot Isaac in his old age, and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot twelve sons who produced the tribes of Israel. Thus, we learned that when God called Abraham, He was continuing forward with His plan to send the Savior into the world, because it was from the lineage of Abraham, through the nation of Israel, that the Messiah was to be born.

God inspired the prophets to write much about the Messiah before He came, so that when He came and fulfilled all that the prophets wrote concerning Him, we might know beyond any doubt that He and He alone is the Savior whom God sent.

Salvation came to us through the Jews.

As for prophets in other places, I have no idea.

False prophets
M't:7:15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
M't:7:16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
M't:7:17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
M't:7:18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
M't:7:19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
M't:7:20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
