I have been told it is arrogant of me to state emphatically that my future in eternity is with GOD as many years ago I made my decision to trust HIS SON JESUS as my SAVIOR and redeemer. I think it is blessed assurance in the word of GOD through HIS promise of salvation that those who believe and accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR will have eternal life with HIM in HIS kingdom HEAVEN. What do you think?

Why do many Americans believe that if it's not occuring on Fox News then it doesn't happen at all??

FLORIDA -- It's true. Many Muslims do condemn terrorism - we just don't hear about it in the American news media.

Yet Americans continue to ask: "Why don't Muslims condemn terrorism?

This page focuses on condemnations of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It is not a complete listing of all condemnations written or spoken by Muslims but is intended to provide a representative sample.

Why is it when you ask a question on Y/A religious people answer and preach and condemn what your saying. Your going to hell etc etc. Why can't religious people think of an Intelligant answer instead of preaching reams and reams of quotes from the Bible?

Someone on here said I was going to hell and that I will be Judged by my maker.
God doesn't judge that's why he gave people freedom of will. So where do you get judgment day from? Isn't God supposed to be all forgiving? There we go again another contradiction.

Jesus uphold the bizarre laws of the Old Testament as he say "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." (Matt. 5:17) and "….it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail." (Luke 16:17).

here it says yes..... so according to this every one who works sunday should die, every disobediant child should die, every non virgin woman befor wed should die, if your circumsized then you should die, if a man has long hair then he should die, if the man is homosexual then he should die.

but christians i talk to say this was all put down when jesus came. But according to the passges i posted it says not. so explaing please.

I hear alot of people talking negativley about Muslims and the fact that they find a woman on her period unclean even to the touch. I wonder if Christians are aware that according to their holy book, "the Bible," not only is she uncelan during here period but on the eight day she must bring two young doves to a priest to be sacrificed. Leviticus 12:2 and 15:19-30 talk more about this subject.

Is it becuase Muslims actually obey their holy doctrine that some of you Christians are angry at them?

The bible also teaches how women should be submissive (1 Tim 2:11), you should not to eat pork (Lev. 11:7) and that women should cover themselves (1 cor. 11:5). So why make all the fuss about it when Muslims believe this and not Christians?

Not sure. Job never asked God to heal him. He said since he was willing to accept good from God, he was also willing to accept evil. How can I ask God for healing if I don't know if it is his will? Why is it so many people ask for healing when they don't know if it is God's will?

I was reading some of the Q&As about atheists and where they go after death. The answer was basically hell. I'm Catholic, but I still find that to be really depressing if it's true :( I mean, a lot of times, people hold their religious or lack of religious beliefs because of how they were raised, so how can something like that really be judged so harshly in the afterlife? And what about Buddhists? They believe in reincarnation, but do you think it actually happens? I want to believe that everyone's religion is true. Yes, I have my own religious beliefs, even though I don't want to believe in all aspects of it, but I really want everyone else's religion to be valid as well. I really dislike the "fact" that my religion is so one-sided; it completely debunks all other religions and says that they are the only valid one. It's very depressing, in my opinon :( There are a lot of people I care about who are not Christian/religious, and I worry about them. :(

I am agnostic.. I believe in the unity of all living things and God being the collective concieousness of all through time and space....

I do not agree with athiests or religious people.

Both are crazy.... There must be a common thread..... we are all experiencing life together... and when we die... we die together....

Proverbs is full of wisdom regarding family and self improvement. Wisdom that actually will benefit any person.

Where does this wisdom come from and could it be compared to other religious wisdom or is the wisdom in the bible superior and therefore evidence of inspiration of a higher intelligence?

Patriarcal religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) expend a lot of effort trying to mandate human sexual behavior. Especially female sexual behavior. Granted, I'm proceeding from a point of opinion on this so if you disagree, please tell me why. Otherwise, please try to help me understand the reason for this ultimately unworkable stance.

It seems on a daily basis I change whether I believe in God or not. I might go on some websites that convince me there is a God, then go on a ton of more websites that make me convinced there is no God. I never change my ideas about Jesus, though. I don't think Jesus even existed, and he definitely was not divine.

How Did Pagan Customs Mix into Christmas and Easter?
It began hundreds of years ago, when the Church changed the Bible. . .

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priesthoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).

Since then, Christian paganism has expanded to include Christmas trees, Easter eggs, and so forth.

i feel like my sub conscience has control over my consciousness.
it tells me what to think and feel, but doesn't share why i'm feeling the way i do. like when i go for an interview, or i have to resolve a problem with someone or ask a girl out, i get petrified, so scared that when i start talking all you hear is lehejhrhjgu jgkjg. and i forget what i wanted to say. it's like a belt wrapped around my brain. i can't understand why i can't control it, and why it won't share why im scared with my consciouness.

I would obviously say no. I don't want to die, and if I say no, I would live. What kind of idiot would say yes? I rememeber during the Columbine Massacre, the two killers asked a girl if she believed in God, and she said yes. She could have survived if she was smart and said no, but she said yes and she was shot.
