That is my husbands question. He is the Kindest, most wonderful man I have ever met. He has NO criminal record and has never known any part of his family except his mothers name - the name we use. His father was a Merchant Marine from Puerto Rico - I found 'that' out. My husband grew up in the upper - orphanages of New York City. He can' t even get his brith certificate. He cannot verifiy anything. Can someone please help. My husband has a Masters degree and has owned his own company - started on his own in Texas.

Thank You and God Bless.

I will send additional info as needed.

Please be kind - this is no joke.

Grace and God Bless!!!

Hi Jane -
I hope you find the information you and your husband are looking for. I'm not sure this forum is the best place, but you never know!

There are a lot of places to start, one would be a private detective. If you have your husband's mother's name and an idea of where and when she was born, you may be able to do some searches on the web.

Keep praying for wisdom and guidance.
Hope you find out what you are looking for!

Do you think there may be a possibility that somehow his birth certificate may be in Puerto Rico? Maybe your husbands dad has it for some reason. Tell him to ask both of his parents. Hope it works out for him Peace.

With a Master's degree and running a company in Texas he should have paid tax and have a Social Security number, and with a Masters he would have needed proof of educational attainment. Something does not add up here.

I thought you could go to public records and get one (Here we go to the Health Dept.). We have to have out birth name, date of birth and place of birth. I would think there would have to be someone in the Dept. of Public records that could assist you. Just make sure you have as much info as possible. Good Luck with this.......

He has records somewhere...how hard have you looked? The city of the orphanages/foster homes where he grew up should have files on him, the schools he attended have records on him, no one is "invisible" these days.

Ask his mother where he was really born and ask him if your husband was registered in the country where he was born. If not registered that is considered late registration if you will register him now to the national statistic and census office.

Maybe he is only telling you that because he doesn't want you to know who he really is! Good luck.
