You are misquoting. The bible says "Judge not lest ye be (insert name of Christian here)."

Yes the Scriptures do warn us about judging others.
" Judge not lest ye be judged".
We need to understand that most of the time, Christians, are well meaning and are strictly pointing out an area of a persons life that separates someone from God. In other words sin. Most are not passing judgment, of guilty, upon a person.
However, as a Christian Preacher, writer and Evangelist, I try to be very careful to be constructive and not destructive with the words I use.
As Christians I think often times we would be better off to be an example to others and worry about the sin in our own lives.

Because it's impossible to 'Judge with a righteous judgment' John 7:24 and 'Judge not' Matthew 7:1-5 at the same time. They pick one and ignore the other. Actually which one they pick is very telling of their own personality. Those who's personality would not be one to judge others will take that one. The one who's personality does nothing but judge will take the other.
The Bible is a mass of contradiction, but Christians don't see that because they have selective observation problems.

Your statement is correct only on the surface.....it basically says a person will be judged in the same manner and level they judge others.....a bit different meaning....
I like the thumbs down...I was waiting for that....again this shows that no open discussion is going on in here..I purposely did not directly quote the bible as many have asked since they do not believe in the bible...I gave the "street" answer and still get the thumbs down from someone....
So now here is my question. Are people from either side on here just to see what they can say to put another person down? If so, why and what does that say about us?

Lets get this cleared up right now, shall we?
People are getting very confused with this judgement idea. Christians are not to judge, that is correct, HOWEVER;
What is written in Scripture is the Word of the Living God. Whats written has already been judged by GOD, NOT MAN.
Those judgements stand, and so when a Christian states that something is wrong, if it is judged by God in Scripture to be wrong, then the Christian is not the one who judged it, but God who judged it. All the Christian is doing, is repeating the judgement that STANDS.
Is that clear to you?

The Bible says not to judge, because people do judge. Christians are people. Every day we should all pray for forgiveness, it's a dietary requirement of our spirit. Feed the sheep.

The Bible doesn't advocate never making any judgments whatsoever about people. Rather, it says not to judge other people for what you yourself are guilty of. IN other words, don't judge hypocritically. (see Matthew 7:105)
It is impossible NOT to make judgments about people. For example, if you need a babysitter, you OUGHT to be willing to make judgments about people. You don't want to entrust the welfare of your baby to just anybody, right?

The problem is what most consider judging...if the word says its wrong than the judgment has already been made there is no judging in calling wro ng what god has alrady judged wrong

We do not judge, but people accuse us of doing that. God is the rightful judge. We tell people what God says about things and then they call us intolerant. We are not intolerant when we do not agree on things with the world.

It says a Saint will judge angels, so we should not be unfit to judge the little things on earth. Those who accept Christ are called saints.
