After this I beheld, and, LO, A GREAT MULTITUDE, WHICH NO MAN COULD NUMBER, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
How did you miss these verses immediately following?
Is it a case of - they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction?
I also notice that Occam who despises the shallow knowledge of the Bible in others has been unable to reach the depths of the very next verse ! ! !

The 144,000 Jews / Israelites who are sealed in Revelation 7:4-8 are sealed for the specific purpose of being “evangelists” during the Tribulation period. The sealing provides protection from the plagues and devastation brought on by the trumpet and bowl judgments, as well as from the wrath of the Antichrist. The 144,000 is not a limit to how many people will be saved, but rather is just a select group of Jewish believers called to proclaim God’s message during the end times. There will be perhaps millions of other converts during the Tribulation, most of them a result of the 144,000’s ministry.

I find it rather amuzing when people spout facts from the Bible without reading it. In answering your question, the answer is NO!! we are not counted out. Let me clear up this matter a little for arguments sake. The 144,000 that are mentioned in the Bible are found in 2 places. Revelations 7:1-8 speaks of the 144,000 of the Jews that where chosen by God and were to have the seal of God in their forheads.(V3) and In Revelations 14:1 the 144:000 stand on Mount Sion with Christ Jesus. In Bible prophecy, this event takes place after the church age. or the Rapture. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. This is when all the Gentiles(non Jews) will leave the earth and go to Heaven. This time period also includes Jews who have converted to Christianity. (Simply put Jews who accept Jesus as the Messiah) If all of us that believe in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as Savior and Lord are not included in the 144,000 then who are the mutitude that cannot be numbered from every tongue and nation mentioned in Revelations 7:9. This multitude is standing in Heaven. This takes place before the 144,000 have gone to Heaven. They are not in Heaven until Revelations 14:4. These are the ones who follow Jesus His Army Revelations 19:11-16. So according to God's word and not the opinion of man, I really don't believe God has left us out or excluded anyone. I believe we are the cheering section in Heaven for the 144,000. Read your Bible and be educated. If you want you can join them as well. even if your not a Jew. Romans 10:13 says "Whosoever" in english= all are welcome who accept Christ as Savior and Lord. hope your on the winning side!!

Jesus came into the world as the Messiah to save the gentiles (people other than Jews) too. The figure 1,44,000 has to be taken more figuratively than literally I suppose. Simple calculations of the people that have been born and are yet to be born and of course how long it will take for His second coming, are all factors to be considered. And of course heaven is infinite, if the present Universe itself is so huge to house so many different types of (Solar) planet systems, how much more diverse should the heaven be. Also the question of diffrent levels of heaven, dimensions, have to be keyed in.....what exactly are the mansions which Christ spoke about......and so on. If the Creator can give so much intelligence to such lowly creatures as us humans to ask so many questions, think how much more diverse would be the other realms of existence He would have made for meeting the requirements of all types of humans and other creations of His.....

I have a question why do people preach on here instead of answering the questions? This is not their own personal pulpit.
To answer your question its this easy...The were Chosen by God. The 144,000 refer to Jews not "Christians". There will only be a 144,000 Jews that will enter heaven according to the Bible. Now personally, I don't believe that cause the Bible isn't inspired its just one group of people interpretation of God. To me if Jesus doesn't saved every human being than his mission to save the world failed and the life he gave for mankind was in vain. (another person's opinion of the Bible). That's all it is are opinions not facts. Only God really knows and he judges the heart unlike Christians who judge the actions.

The 144,000 are Jewish evangelists who will be sealed by God during the Tribulation Period on earth after the christians are Raptured to heaven. They will spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world and besides the 2 witnesses, will be the only hope for the people left behind the Rapture. God does not limit any of His creation to having the opportunity to be with Him in Heaven for eternity. He wants that none should perish, but gives all a free will to choose God/Jesus as their Lord. God bless.

Known history tells that God's chosen people was split into Israelites and Jews. If you are not from Israel or Juda here is good news for you. Jesus seeing Nathanael coming to him said: "Here comes the real Israelite, in whom there is nothing false." (John 1:47 Holy Bible, New International Version). My understanding is that if there is nothing false in you, you are an Israelite or a Jew, regardless of your race.

It also states right after that that there is an uncounted multitude of others..... The 144,000 are the chosen from the remnant of The Nation of Israel who will accept Jesus and go out and evangelize in His Name during the Tribulation period. many more will be saved by them... and most, if not al, of them will be martered during that time. You need to not take someone elses word for what is in The Bible... but unless you are open to the leading of God through The Holy Spirit, you will not find what you seek...... and it is 12X12000

Oh don't worry people have come up with theories for that too.
Actually the guy above me is correct. I just looked it up, because I am a curious person, it does say multitudes from every nation. I find it interesting that an exact number from each tribe is going to get in, but it does clearly state after that that multitude whose number couldn't be counted were there. Don't worry, all Christians are going to heaven.
