Thank you to everyone who responded. I read and appreciated each & every one of your Answers. Recently I found myself leaning toward "Secular Humanism". I have finally found my place in the world. I am incredibly relieved to have the heavy yoke of dogmatic religion taken from my weary shoulders. For the first time in my life I feel truly free, light of heart & mind and completely whole within myself. Good fortune to all!

my significant other and i got into a heated argument today because after a while their character and superiorness had just pushed me away from them. they always wants to be right and belittles me and i havent been too interested in talking to them much. i just go to my room or not say anything. i dont mean to do it on purpose it just happens after you get tired of people treating you the way they do. today they told me that i get mad at stupid things and they dont understand, they also told me today that i should leave our home and that they never wants to see me again. im really hurt because i love that person with all my heart. all i can do is hear the words i never want to see you again just because i dont get over things easily. i mean who wants to sit at home and get verbal abuse you know? what should i do? im so so depressed.

How can any of you proove to me that you exist, beyond being mere creations of my own internal dialog that is manifested into a physical form, as answerers to my question, here on Y!Answers?

Sure you can just type the answer "I exist," or even send me an email or an IM, and think that that should be enough. But how am I to know that your answer isn't just my own internal mindset grasping at a reality that I feel -- and maybe think -- to be real? Thus, creating answerers to my question who would do just such things...

Can it truly be proven that anyone, outside of myself (yourself), has a consciousness like mine (yours)?

Let me pose the inverse of my main question...

Can you proove to yourself that I exist, beyond being just a mere creation of your own internal dialog (mindset) that is manifested into a physical form, as myself and this question, here on Y!Answers?

i`ve seen some users saying that atheism is the logical choice, but since the concept of a god cannot be proved nor disapproved, then shouldn`t agnosticism be considered the logical choice?

In order for something to be considered "alive" in the Biblical sense, it had to have the following:
1) Blood - since life is in the blood (Leviticus)
2) Breath of life - it had to breathe.

if fish weren't considered alive, what were they considered? what about bugs, do they breathe, are they alive then, when fish are not?

How come that people that believe in Jesus do not follow what he said?I grew up and went to Catholic school all I ever experienced was pain.Disrimination,humiliation etc that took a long time to get over and even as I grew older I have yet to meet someone that is forgiving an loving as they say they are.I dont believe anymore,because I just dont get it that people who love Jesus have done me more harm than people that do not believe.I feel betrayed and feel like a fool when an Christmas when I was a child I was put in the basment with a blanket so my parents could have there party,that night my only friend was Jesus and I was happy even as I was in that cold place.After that nothing changed no matter how much I prayed so I stopped and now I hate religion for what they did.Why would a just God let this happen?He forgives killers,but he cant save a child?How can he just do nothing to those monsters?Why did he leave me alone?
