mostly cause God calls himself the father, therefore being male naturally comes to mind. its also a good way for the human mind to think about it. If you called God an it all the time, that would be kinda weird. the way one looks at how much a father loves his sons and daughters, cares for them, and would die for them , is the image that is to come to mind when thinking of God as he.

Check this out from the Oxford English Dictionary

he

The male person or animal, or the person or animal of unknown or unspecified sex
or
The thing personified or conventionally treated as male

God is neither male or female, but the masculine personal pronoun can still be properly used.

EDITED
Therefore there is no need for your "itself".

What people think when they imagine God needn't be the truth about God.

Even if God does reveal himself in masculine form, that needn't mean that God has natural gender.
For example see Ezekiel 1:26 the Hebrew Bible uses several words for 'man' the one used here signifies 'earthling man', but that does not imply God is a human, but rather he chooses to reveal himself with that appearance.

Well, there is "our father who art in heaven", God the father, God created man in his own image, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, etc. Don't see a problem with knowing that God is a male. Btw, most Christian women do not either. They aren't politically correct in that matter.

Since God is a spirit, God has no body. Gender is a body characteristic. Therefore, God has no gender. Neither male nor female.

GOD IS AN EXPERIENCE.-------if you haven't had the experience then you have little reason to believe without doubts. (God is neither HE/SHE/OR IT.)
