I am Messianic Jew....

but I am also a university grad and have a year of post graduate studies.

I am a professional (mostly everyone is a lay person) athlete. (Golf Professional)

(Only jobs deemed professionals are doctors, lawyers, pilots and athletes. If you're not one, you're a lay person.)

I am a homeowner, taxpayer and have traveled to over 50 nations in 4 continents.

My IQ was 142 last year when it was tested, but I am smart enough to admit I don't know that much.

So, are you so narrow minded that my faith will supersede all these other aspects of life??

I come from a Christian background but I'm not a Christian any longer - although I have friends who are and whom I respect as individuals. But I'm always curious given some of the questionable morality in the Bible - such as the support of slavery, polygamy, and God occasinally commanding in the old testament to slaughter your neighbors - how people read this and see it as divinely inspired moralilty to live by. Some of what's in the Bible is moral, of course, but some of it is pretty monstorous. So my question is this: if you were to literally take the Bible as your moral guide - every word of it as written - what's the worst act (worst judged by today's morality) that you would feel justified in committing - assuming an absolute literalist interpretation of what's written?

Just so you know I always say fine.

Made a bumper sticker and put it on my truck!
It says--- People who talk on cell phones while driving,
Deserve to horrible death they have!

Not sure why but people don't seem to like it!

my kids put a crucifix in the kitchen. now i am not a believer, (quite the opposite) however they go to church with their grandmother and i am ok with that.

but a crucifix in the kitchen? are there any good arguements against that. it just bothers me, it is hard to eat with a dead guy nailed to a board watching me. not in a spiritual sense. i just find it a little grotesque.

If so, I wll pray for you. I will also pray that people learn to remember that not everyone believes the same and to attack without reason is pointless unless you are the one being attacked. I will pray that the burdens of the innocent suffering are eased and that with so much technology, maybe the other 99% of nonmaniacal people can learn to live together in harmony with each other while respecting each other's beliefs. Do you condemn terrorism on all sides as well? I do and support others who do. Please pray for me as well that I am successful in bringing justice to the innocent women and children who have been harmed, possibly murdered, by online predators.

If god was real why would he let innocent people die? Innocent good people that wanted to just get an education. God even let a Holocaust surviver die to in Virgnia Tech. Is god real? There's so many gods out there Buddha, Sheeva, Allah, like million gods? Which one is real? Is there even a god? Was god created so people dont lose hope, commit bad things like crime?

I don't understand why the president is allowed to say religious things to the general public. What happened to the separation of church and state?

The president's views on religion should not even be known to the public. Frankly, it's none of our business anyway.

So, I have heard the president many times on TV and the radio talking about "Him" and prayers and all that.

Isn't this kind of thing not allowed because our so-called constitution prevents it?

I mean if I was God I think it would break my heart to see all these lost and forgotten souls.I would just want to reach out to them and help them some how. Why does not God just show Himself and take all of this misery away. The first thing I would do is send a legion of angels down to all the unbelievers to give them hope and joy. Then they would be happy and truly love God for all He had done for them. Its such a beautiful world full of wonderful human beings and I guess I just want everyone to be loved down here! Dear dear.

I responded to a questioner recently (I can only recall the name Lena) about Mary Magdalene. She wanted to Know if she was a prostitute. My response was based on what I know of the scripture. The relevance of what Mary did is of no consequence she was a sinner like we all are. What is relevant is she believed in Jesus as The Christ, the Holy Savior sent by God as our redeemer. I referenced that to her and asked if Mary was a believer, why wasn't she? Then I ended my note with an invite for her to e-mail me to let me know if she had any more thoughts on the subject. Yahoo removed my comment to her reply, as a matter of fact I can no longer find the exact question I replied to. My response has been removed the board, even though the questioner selected it as the "Best Answer". What do you all think?
respectfully

I used to be so unhappy when I was an Atheist. I felt life had no meaning and that it was useless. I then did research and used my brain. I realized that there has to be a god. There are so many accounts of miracles, Biblical prophecies written 2,000 years ago coming true, and over 500 eyewitnesses of Jesus' ressurection. The main evidence for me was the universe. The earth is located perfectly between the sun and moon. If we moved any farther away, we'd freeze; any closer, and we'd burn. Science can't explain clearly how we got here and many scientists are actually religious and believe there is a god based on their research and logic. I just don't see why so many Atheists have to be ignorant and not even consider that there might be a God. If they started to believe in God, they would be so much happier and be better to other humans.

Mine says go for it. People know of the stalker I've had recently, and I just contacted a couple of detectives in my local police station to help with it They specialize in online crime such as what has been going on, so they asked me to email them EVERYTHING, including all clones and accounts I've discovered. For anyone who has a clone, just let me know and I'll send that information along too. If you've received death threats or demands for your phone number and address as other targeted women have from that individual, send me an email. This is illegal activity and I plan to press charges and testify against the person once the detectives give the go ahead. I'd say their names, but for their privacy and my own freedom, I will not. Children don't deserve to be told they should die for the religion of their parents. What is your opinion of people who are so angry that you disagree with them that they tell you where you live and threaten to come kill you?
