As long as there are humans, there will be human foibles. There will be atheists that accord respect for the accomplishments of non-atheists and vice versa, but there will also be those who hold illogical predjudices based on nothing more that your belief system and their belief system is different.
Atheists who blindly hate and discount anyone who holds a non-atheistic viewpoint really aren't any different from racists, sexists, bigots, etc.
In both cases, it's usually fear of the unknown that prompts such a response, compounded by ignorance of one's own position and the feeling that one's own beliefs/viewpoint are somehow threatened by the mere existance of a differing view.
In fairness though, I doubt sincerely that the majority of atheists would disrespect and discount your achievements and qualifications simply because of your beliefs. It would be a tiny minority that would be that close minded (though because that minority is so vocal, especially here on yahoo answers, they may seem larger than they are).
There is a certain percentage of people who will discount and disrespect you simply because you are jewish.
There will be a certain small percentage that will discount you simply because you are a university grad (although with the sad state of universities maybe there's something to that bias, lol)
You hit it right on the head at the end of your question. Some people are narrow minded and predjudiced no matter what. Atheists being no different or less susceptible to these tendencies than any other belief system/group.

First, by definition, a true profession is one that requires advanced training or schooling beyond a bachelor's or equivalent four-year degree. So in reality there are only five professions: professors, doctors, lawyers, accountants, and engineers. All require advanced training beyond a four-year degree, through either advanced degrees or required training hours per year or set of years. A professional athlete is simply an athlete who gets paid to be an athlete, so please don't be so ignorant as to assume that you are in any kind of true profession. True professions require advanced education, not advanced workouts. Piloting requires certification, not a degree.
Second, I do respect your beliefs. I have no problem with anyone's beliefs. You, however, apparently make assumptions about me which simply are not true.
Third, I'm glad you have a 142 IQ. I'm a member of MENSA and have the privilege of knowing a great many men and women who test at genius levels. You need a 148 to get in, so maybe you should try another test since you are pretty close.
Finally, faith means little to me. I look at a person's actions, and that is how I form my opinions of that person. Since I do not know anything about you except that which you share here, I have no opinion on you. I would suggest, however, that in the future you use the correct definition of a professional and that you don't assume that all atheists have anything other than a belief that there is no god in common with one another. That kind of thinking is what can make you narrow-minded.

"Doctors, lawyers, pilots and atheletes", what a nice little list. (What, no ministers?) That makes you special. And you have enough money to own a home, pay taxes and travel extensively. And you're "smart", but in a humble way, of course.
Didn't your Messiach, Yeshua have something to say about rank, human honors and and self-importance? Somewhere around Matt 23? (I know you aren't a Pharisee but I think there is room for interpretation.)
You don't mention anything about the number of hungry people you fed, naked people you clothed, sick people you comforted or prisoners you visited. Aren't those the marks of a follower of Yeshua? Have you donated a substantial portion of your professional salary to alleviate poverty?
If I may ask, what were you BEFORE your conversion to Messianic Judaism? Just curious.

Well....you are pretty mean to atheists on here. If they knew you, how can you say you won't be just as much as a jerk? The quality in you that you try to fool Jews into converting, and take sacred holidays and things and bastardize them, says something about your character.
In my opinion, some guy can be the smartest guy in the world, but if he's a jerk and his character sucks, I have no respect for him whatsoever.
skepsis--he was a gentile, and didn't convert to Judaism. He only claims to be a Jew to come under the banner of "Messianic" in order to convert real Jews to Xtianity.

You are looking for respect from athiests? Why? Do you mean athiest Jews? Perhaps some are too busy trying to make people equal. Cut off the head of anyone who stands too tall.
You are your own justification, look to yourself for pride. Succeed for your own self.

Nice brag sheet." My IQ was 142 but I'm smart enough to admit I don't know that much." You made sure you got that little gem out before you said you were humble.
I'll just pass you by ego boy.

None of what you've said tells me whether you're respectable. It does, however, tell me that you're a snob and something of an egotist. Oh, and I have one more degree and 19 more IQ points than you. So?

You play golf.
That's all you had to say.
You have no value.
Satan created golf to distract mankind from the Glories of Yahweh's wonderful Wrath and horrible Vengance.
