Religion is any organized or ritualized process of actions or beliefs that serve as ritual or process to serve and/or worship any doctrine or entity known as a god or deity or higher power from which people seek favor or assistance or help or strength or needs with devotion and reverence.
Atheism is a religion.
Spirituality is an expression of the belief that we are 'Spirit in nature', we have a Soul (mind in all it's function and aspects), Will (the force of individual volition) and Emotions (feelings and all the varied ways they are expressed outwardly by the person) and I live in a Body. The REAL aspect of life is expressed outwardly from our invisible Source-Self, being an individual aspect of my Life-Source God. I live my spirituality religiously, and practice certain expressions of my spirituality consistently and it brings me peace as I connect with my Source, Jehovah God.
This is my personal opinion. You can look up the words in a dictionary.
All religions do not acknowledge God.

Spirituality is inside, it's personal. Religion is an outside practice, as in belonging to a group. One can be spiritual without being religious.

Spirituality is internal to yourself and deals with your intangible needs as a human being. Religion is external to yourself and is largely the opinions of others who imagine they know God's will. Actually, religion enforces doctrine and dogma to smother any impermissible expression of free will. Spirituality encourages personal growth while religion enforces conformity and mindless obedience to arbitrary authority.

Religion is organized spirituality. Religion can be seen as 'following the crowd'. Spirituality can be a much more individualized expression.

Spirituality concerns spirits and all things associated with them.

Religion is a dogmatic set of beliefs, worship and all things related to it.

Spirituality and religion can be related or may not be depending on the religion.

If a person is only religious, then they are paying lip service through the rituals that their belief systems has established.

If a person is merely spiritual, then they are in touch with themselves, others, and perhaps to a certain extent even God. However, they wander aimlessly with no direction.

If a person is truly spiritual, they will seek the true meaning of religion, and marry the two into harmony. It is dangerous to have one without the other.

Spirituality is sort of generic. Christianity, for example, is very specific. One God and one way to God, by faith in Jesus Christ, only. When someone usually talks about spirituality, they are speaking of something broader; all ways lead to God, many ways lead to God, etc.

Spirituality is the intimate knowledge of God - religion is when you put that into practice.
