What is your view on religion and/or spirituality?

Pagan Earthgirl here. My view is that all deities throughout history and prehistory are valid representations of the Divine, they are creations of man to illustrate our own divinity. We lost ourselves along the way and began to perceive ourselves as separate from our creations, and now most people think of "god" as an entity apart from ourselves. This is a mistake, for We are all God. I am God. Thou art God.

Blessed be.

I am a Wiccan, a follower of 1 of many Pagan religions. I believe that there is a Truth for everyone & the Truth is different for everyone. For some it's Christianity, some prefer not to have a religion at all. Don't try to force your Truth on others. That is not the way, instead worry only about your own spirituality and help others when they ask for it.

I'm not quite sure what I am. I try to follow the way of the Tao.

Taoism as I practise it is not really a religion since there's no 'god', but a philosophy.

Taoist propriety and ethics emphasise love, moderation and humility. The idea of being true to oneself is central to Taoism. Taoists respect all living things and nature.

Spiritually Taoism says there is a flow in the universe, and it is called tao. Tao flows slowly; however, it is never stagnant and is incredibly powerful and keeps things in the universe balanced and in order. It manifests itself through change of seasons, cycle of life, shifts of power, time, and so forth. When you follow tao, you become one with it. Being one with tao brings best outcomes, because in that way things will fall into place as they are meant to be.

So I guess that's thumbs down to religion, thumbs up to spirituality. Not that I have anything against other's faiths, in principle.

i call myself a freethinker even if my believes don`t exactly correspond with the dictionary definition of the word "freethinker". I try to see the different religious views and then based on my personal experiences to form an idea that is constantly changing about spirituality, also i`m not a fan of organized religion.

I have studied, participated in and left christianity and Islam. I no longer have a so called religion. I would rather focus on trying to stay alive from day to day, than worry about what will happen when i die. I do know that as human beings, we are all connected, and i respect others in the fashion that they respect or disrespect me. But living according to books and following traditions for me is dead. If there is a "God," he can deal with me later. For right now, i have to live for my family, and self.

I practice Zen. My views on other religions vary according to the individuals who practice them.

The basic fundamental beliefs of most religions are fine. I know that there are many paths to knowing god. It's when people use religious dogma to support worldy/material/politcal ambitions that good religions get subverted and become dangerous.

Technically I'm an atheist, but I'm also a Neopagan Taoist.

I am studying the Tao but I celebrate pagan holidays.

If I have to have a label, I am agnostic deist, spiritualist, and gnostic. Somewhere in there with a lot of each. I think there is a God. I think He was the big bang and then evolution took over. I think there is a Mother God and our souls live many lives.

I'm a mystic. My "views" are centered around one of the utmost laws of the universe, which is energy follows thought. The golden rule and our creative visualization skills all derive from that one basic law. Once you understand that, everything else is easy to comprehend.

Why do you lump all of us atheists together but seperate out the Christians and Muslims?

Are you prejudiced?
