I seem to find alot of contradictions. One book opposes this and other doesn't. Also the Old Testament is confusing. Any explanations?

people can follow their religion and let others follow theris but why there is so much of fighting/arguing/debating about this
Why don't people simply accept that Islam is peaceful and other religions are also mostly peaceful.
Why did the christians kill jews and muslims during crusades and now why christians and jews are killing muslims??
why hindus became the enemy of muslims?
may be the answer is america and israel!

I am still in shock about the shooting we had in Salt Lake City at Trolley Square, My Home state. I am sickened by the shootings that take place like this all over the world. Including the innocent people and our soldiers that are dying in Iraq. This should be a lesson to us all that Peace amongst ourselves and between ourselves is the only answer. How about showing kindness to all in Yahoo Answers and in our lives today and everyday....... In memory of those that have lost their lives in Iraq and the shooting that took place at Virginia Tech. and Trolley Square.

I have a real problem. I really need some inside on this. 2 years ago I had moved in with my x and my three boys to this apartment in Paramount. When we moved in this place everything was new carpet, title floor and paint. The unexplainable thing is that in the 4th month that we were there we started to get flies. This wouldn’t be strange we don’t have any animals and that place didn’t allow any, but the thing is how they started they come out of a glass table. There were so many on the title floor beds and every were. They lasted 3 weeks we tried everything to kill them and left like they come. Then my x started to get live worms on the inner part of his leg. They would start as bumps and they hurt him when he went to the doctor. He found out he had worms in the bums. The doctor did understand. We moved out of there and in our new home we started to get poop smell that only came out of our room in the closet. We were constantly fighting and we could speak for a long time. We end up braking up he moved out and now there is no smell. I just can’t understand it.

I would rather not see the answer "You go to heaven". I am asking what do you physically believe will happen (in order). Like, for example, when does your resurrection take place? Is there a judgement day that all must wait for, or is there a judgement day for each of us and we are admitted right after we die, etc.

It does seem like they like to be abused by many people. Is that why they are so abusive to everyone else? Are they addicted to the pain? Do they need it to feel alive?

I grew up in a Baptist church, but have been away from church for a year or so. My fiancee and I have been to a United Church of Christ in the past few weeks. He really likes it, but I'm not very comfortable there, because the minister has preached some things that are not Biblical. For example, he will not take a stand on how to be saved. He says it's not his place to decide who is right and who is wrong. But the Bible is clear on how to be saved. Anyway, my fiancee wants to continue attending there, and he said I can go where ever I want. But I'd really like for both of us to go to the same church....especially once kids come into the picture. Any advice on what I should do?

Has anyone seen the documentary? Is it just me or is it scary how there is a group of Evangelicals raising their children to think in a very narrow-minded way...truly they don't even think for themselves at all. All I know is Christianity used to be about living your life correctly not about 10 year old girls going up to people at a bowling alley telling them to convert because God is talking to her. Creepy. Any thoughts?

she stuttered a bit then started telling me that the bible even states the dimensions of heaven and details of it, etc. which, of course, didn't answer the question.

so, i ask you, if heaven is only accepting a certain chosen few, then what makes you think you're one of them? chances are, of all the billions of people on this planet (and that's only the ones alive currently) how can you be so sure you get to go to heaven? and since odds aren't in your favour, what's the point of worshipping god, if you're not getting into heaven?

What about all of the other Gods in the world? All of the other religions? Maybe one of those Gods is the God that is pulling the puppet strings....that is if there even is a God. Maybe it's just a big crap shoot.

Two insurgents of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have been held guilty by a local court for rioting and murder at Jarulbachai in West Tripura district in 1997.

Additional district and session judge of West Tripura Subhash Bhattacharya on Monday held Ashok Debbarma and Gandhi Debbarma guilty for rioting, murder and arson at Jarulbachai in which 15 persons were killed and six others injured.

The insurgents had set fire to their houses and when the villagers were coming out of their blazing houses, the militants fired at them.

In the police charge sheet, Ashok Debbarma and Gandhi Debbarma were described as the main accused. Ashok was arrested but Gandhi is still at large...

See, there are bad people in every religion.

I have been in contact with a dissident JW on this site (you know who you are) who desperately wants to leave the Watchtower Society but is afraid of being abandoned by her family. She has always followed the Society's doctrines but has seen so many problems with it.

Now, she wants to leave and feels like she can't because her family will disown her like they did her cousin when he converted to a universalist Christian church. Can you give her some encouragement? Also, can you give me some advice on helping her through this trial?
