Am I one of the few polytheists deeply annoyed by the wiccan fluff mentality? Seriously, I saw a question about "Wicca being the oldest religion, and if you say otherwise, you are wrong!"

Don't get me wrong, it's a nivce portal for most into Polytheism, but many who stay in it tend to get all fluffy and annoying.

Who else feels this way?

NOTE: This is not all Wiccans. some are actually not fluffy. I like those ones.

It seems like I keep seeing the same questions over and over and therefore the same answers over and over. Why not look back at what was asked before before you post a redundant question.

I've talked to a lot of people who all seem to agree that there is a spiritual shift fast approaching. Some equate it to 7-7-07, I dont know that I agree, though I do feel something coming- what say you?

Serious discussion only. Bashers will be reported as such.

First off, I really don't want 2 bore you guys with all the details of my life so if you don't really wanna help me out with my issues u don't have to i just need some opinions to help me out. I'm a 13-year-old muslim girl living in the U.S. me n my family moved here from Pakistan when i was about 4 years old. There is a local masjid (or mosque) that i used 2 go 2 every sunday 2 learn about Islam and pray. My parents are ok when it comes to religion. They never forced me to wear a hijab except when in the masjid and when praying at home. But, people tell me that if i don't wear it i'll be doomed to hell. My reasoning is that when the rule of wearing a hijab came into being, from what i've heard, it was to help keep girls from getting raped, to look modest, etc. but, the irony here is that sometimes that's the one thing that can cause such things to happen here in a country where many people believe that all muslims are terrorists. I don't wear one beacause to me Islam is about...

from what i remember growing up, i was told santa kept a list of all the boys and girls in the world. and he would know if i've been good or bad. and he could accomplish the impossible task of delivering presents all over the world. i was told to be very good or else he wouldn't give me any presents. and you'd better believe i was on my best behavior when christmas time came around. you might say i obeyed the laws of santa clause. i certainly would never thing to spite him out of fear that i wouldn't get any toys. in a sense, you could say i worshiped santa clause as being an idol, even though i didn't know what idols were at the time. so, if i were to die at that point in my life, worshiping santa as a god of sorts, and not really understanding the meaning of accepting jesus as my savior, would i have gone to hell? keep in mind, i already knew the story of jesus, i was just too young to care.

My fiance has studied the bible for about 5 years, and wants very much to become a baptised JW. I had no religious inclinations before we met.
The more I learn, the more it makes sense.
My family is devestated that I would consider marrying a JW.
Mom and Dad aren't religous but love the holidays....
They have said they will not support me in getting married and that if we have children, they would view raising them as JW as child abuse.....
I would never be abusive to a child! I don't see not celebrating Birthdays and Christmas as abuse.
My family ( brother, sisters, parents and grandparents) have all said they are against this and the words "disowned" have been mentioned.
My fiance and I are very much in love, and I can not imagine being with out him.....but the guilt of turning my back on my family and their beliefs is aweful...

"I believe Christians should not be allowed to get married, because they are making a choice to be who they are, and it is wrong".

Most would say "yes", that is discriminating.

Now, if I change the word "Christian" to "gay", then suddenly millions of people find it not only NOT discriminating, but find it to be true. Why is that?

Am I allowed to be a Christian?

I believe in Christ, and follow a lot of things from the bible, like I don't eat pork or touch pig skin; I've never touched a football or football gloves, and if I touch the hand of a man who has just released semen from his body, I bathe and I'm unclean till the evening and I go to a priest and take a goat and so on so that I can be clean. Also I don't sleep around since I'm not married yet, but I'm still a gay person. If I pray will I be forgiven?

okay so the instument of jesus death is noted in bible passages such as at Matthew 27:32,and40. There the greek word stau-ros is translated "CROSS' in various english bibles. an expository dictionary of new testament words by W.E. VINE says "STAU-ROS.....DENOTES, PRIMARILY AN UPRIGHT PALE OR STAKE." plus what about the pagan leader CONSTANTINE who convened the counsil of nicaea in 325 C.E and influenced it to adopt the unscriptual doctrine that christ was god? the NEW ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA SAYS "ON THE EVE OF CONSTANTINE'S VICTORY OVER MAXENTIUS IN 312 HE SAW A VISION OF THE HEAVENLY SIGN OF THE CROSS, WICH HE BELIEVED TO BE A DIVINE PLEDGE OF HIS TRIUMPH". IT ALSO SAYS THAT THEREAFTER CONSTANTINE PROMOTED VENERATION OF THE CROSS. HOWEVER WOULD GOD GIVE A SIGN TO A PAGAN LEADER WHO WAS NOT DOING GOD'S WILL, AND A PAGAN SIGN AT THAT? NO...I DONT THINK SO
