from what i remember growing up, i was told santa kept a list of all the boys and girls in the world. and he would know if i've been good or bad. and he could accomplish the impossible task of delivering presents all over the world. i was told to be very good or else he wouldn't give me any presents. and you'd better believe i was on my best behavior when christmas time came around. you might say i obeyed the laws of santa clause. i certainly would never thing to spite him out of fear that i wouldn't get any toys. in a sense, you could say i worshiped santa clause as being an idol, even though i didn't know what idols were at the time. so, if i were to die at that point in my life, worshiping santa as a god of sorts, and not really understanding the meaning of accepting jesus as my savior, would i have gone to hell? keep in mind, i already knew the story of jesus, i was just too young to care.

true, i didn't die, but how many kids are raised in the same manner as i was, that did die? they probably had similar beliefs as i did, being a normal kid and all. are they going to hell?

Thank God that that didn't happen!!
I think that you already you know the answer and I would just like to say that your example is the exact reason why I believe it is soooo important to teach your children the truth first. When I grew up I was taught the real meaning of Christmas, that it was Jesus' birthday (not the exact day but the day that we celebrate His birth.) as well as why that was such an important event. Then at the age of 5, I asked Jesus to come into my heart and forgive my sins. The world is ever so slowly taking Christ out of EVERYTHING. Schools, Christmas, Easter, our money, our nation!!! I thank God and my parents for going against the norm to teach me the truth first.

What the Catholics have done to children all over the world is a sin. The responsibility is not upon the children, until the children have children and do it to them. The sin is perpetual.

"Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it."
- Will Durant, "The Story of Civilization"

You go on to ask about, if you had died, would you have gone to hell. You are so far into misunderstanding and Catholic influence that you do not understand that God is merciful. There is no Hell besides death. Had you died then, you would have been resurrected and judged accordingly. Ask yourself: If we are judged into heaven or hell at the moment of death, why then would we need resurrection for judgment?
My advice is to find the truth yourself and quit relying on the pulpit for answers.

I have told the religious people that religions were just created with a purpose similar to Santa. I guess their god carries a bigger punishment and a better gift no matter how illogical it is to still believe in this created god.

There's a thing called the age of reason. It's when children are old enough to know what is good and what is bad. I don't know if you were at that point yet.

So, your parents lied to you. That's one reason why I don't like Christmas.

But we are adults now. So, what is more sensible to you to do? Does Christianity disolve to you because your parents lied to you about Santa Claus?

No. God only holds you accountable for what you're able to understand. No young children will go to hell.
