Satan is a name and cannot be used as a word. God is a name, but can also be used as a word. Devil would be the same way, it is a word and also a name. This isn't Yahoo being mean to religious people, this is the English language.

Because Satan is a proper name while God can be a proper name (Christian God) or just a regular noun (Greek god). I am sure the computer that runs the spell check can't have it both ways. For instance, if you typed a question about your dog, "Digger" but you typed "digger", the spell-check isn't going to ask you if you wanted to capitalize that word. It recognizes it as a correctly spelled English word. It's just a machine and doesn't understand that you were talking about your dog.
Machines can't believe in gods.
Best wishes. :)

Satan is a very specific entity, regardless of one's religious beliefs. Satan is always a proper noun, a name for The Devil, not a devil. God, on the other hand, could be referring to a specific god, normally the one described in the bible and worshipped by Christians and Catholics. However, the word god, in and of itself, is not a proper noun.
For example, there are an entire host of other gods that a person could be referring to when using the word "god". Greek gods, Roman Gods, gods of other mythologies and/or religions.
So, if you want to be specific, it's up to you to capitalise.

Thy house doth fall in disrespect.
Thy words do spew of offal.
Thy body fills with thy Rot.
Thou art a Troll.
Thou art a bigot.
Thou art an apostate of thine own religion.
Thy God doth abhor thee.

Because the only time god is capitalised is when refering to the christian god, grammatically. but by the way your question is worded, you're not terribly concerned about grammatical errors, so why exactly are you asking this question?

The capitalisation problem isn't nearly as annoying as the spell-checker assuming that everyone is American.
