They don't want to know the truth of Jesus Nor do they believe or keep the words of God.

For the past month I've been fixing up my bathroom. The walls are all plastered/primed/painted, new light fixture, new curtains/curtain rod, new toilet paper holder. Sanded our cabinet last night and painted the doors.

This morning I found water dripping onto my basement floor, from my upstairs bathroom pipes!! I am scared that I will have to bash in a wall in my newly painted bathroom. I didn't have time to figure out if the leak is from my tub, or double sinks.

Now I am sad, stressed and need a few kind words to help me feel better. It's not the end of the world, but leaks mean $$, damage, and that is the opposite direction of where I was trying to go. Thanks!!

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt...; you shall have no other gods before me.

You shall not make for yourself an idol...You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.

You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God...

Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy...

Honour your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

You shall not murder.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.

You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.

(Exodus 20:2-17, edited for length.)

...can we object?

I've been with my wife for thirteen years and love her more each day. If there is an eternal life I don't want to be apart from her and neither does she from me.

Why do we have to be split asunder 'like angels in heaven'?

we were talking about god and the devil. she thinks the devil plays a major role in everyone's everyday life. she says non believers don't feel or see it as much as christians because the devil already knows he has the non believers, so he focuses on the believers to try to trick them into betraying god. she continued to talk about how satan tries to take a hold of good christians and they have to fight him off.

so my question to her (and you) was: what motivation does someone have to become, or stay, christian, when they have to put up with the devil's antics, but a non believer doesn't?

I know that he is Jehovah Ropha, our healer.
One of my students has asked if the Bible (any version) lists him as our "physician" or "great physician".
I've searched but cannot find it.......

I appreciate your help!

if Jesus was executed on this day -- that wasn't such a "good" day for him right? It seems like it should be called "Bad Friday" and "Good Sunday" --- am I right?

"On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

........surely there be SOME posibility that it could help them. No?
Just as soon as they don't get i a situation where they don't "have a prayer to their names"; literally; they go running to the the one "possible" place that can help them. Unfortunately, by that time, they're not smart enough to find TRUE religion. They end up with false religions and false faiths that lead to the same doomed destruction.

Do these things happen nowadays? Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He gave the disciples the authority to raise the dead.

We have new technology and evidence that show most of things in the Bible aren’t true or are half truths. We know some ideological priest decided to allow certain stories in the "Bible" to be reflected a certain way. Even the Catholic Church, holding on to things like confession. The entire New Estimate of the Bible tells Christians they don’t need to go through a priest to be forgiven of any sin. Yet these antiquated docturnes still persist. What is true?

Is anyone here motivated to believe in god because you believe that god's existence has been demonstrated rationally and established through reason? To those of you who answer "yes," I ask: If your arguments were shown to be invalid, would you relinquish your belief in god?

I am not interested in answers from those who believe in god because they "have faith." I am also not interested in supposed valid arguments. Please, no "question begging" such as: "Well how do you explain so and so", or "What do you think causes so and so" I am merely interested in knowing if anyone claims to be a "rational theist" that bases their belief on the supposed validity of rational arguments and if they would give up their belief in god if their arguments were shown to be incorrect.

Note: I do not intend to try to demonstrate the invalidity of such arguments nor do I plan on convincing anyone of anything. Why? I really don't care what people believe in. Just curious about question.

I grew up, enjoying the Catholic church. I'm 25, and will be honest, in the last 4-5 years my faith hasn't been as strong as it use to be. But now, I have an incredible person, so strong in her beliefs... she is so good hearted, but she has trouble with my beliefs. She doesn't understand me when I say "We do this because its tradition" and she asks "Where in the Bible does it say to do that?" ... I feel I'm set up for failure on any discussion. If it's the Bible she wants to base her faith off of... how can I help myself become more educated to help her understand? and if there is any proof, written in the Bible (that can help me show her) why Catholics are right... I would appriciate it. I've never considered myself right and others wrong, I'm tolerant. She is not... she wants to define truth, right vs wrong... wants me saved by her understanding of what saved is.... It's her challenging me that makes my Catholic faith stronger. Please help! I'm ok with her, she isn't with me :(

he bought up all the mint gold back in the 40's and 50's for $30 an oz that was estimated in the trillions and today is estimated in the quadrillions.
the book of daniel says the antichrist also enters into a covenant with Israel(monetary covenant-which the jews control wallstreet) and tricks them out of their money thus gaining total economic control of the world with both the gold and the paper.
he will pay or cancel our debt as a deceitful, treacherous ploy to get the world to join up with him and make himself seem like such a nice man. This pope will be the last pope that comes out of america(the last pope will be an american) who satan will incarnate into when he is cast down.
