........surely there be SOME posibility that it could help them. No?
Just as soon as they don't get i a situation where they don't "have a prayer to their names"; literally; they go running to the the one "possible" place that can help them. Unfortunately, by that time, they're not smart enough to find TRUE religion. They end up with false religions and false faiths that lead to the same doomed destruction.

sinslave,
That's good. But, I don't know. That hasn't been my experience. I've seen MANY people destroyed down the path of "sin"

No doubt about it. There is A LOT of confusion in what is "supposed to be Christianity". Unfortunately, this all serves to harm TRUE Christianity.

So you propose that you know for sure, with 100% verifiable fact, that every time a person hits the lowest they can in their lives they go running for christianity? Nice try, but you are way off base. Those with faiths in other paths of belief will stay there and do as they will to correct the issues and those of us with no religion have the tools to pull ourselves out of our troubles rather than relying on a deity who may not even be real to do it for us.

Stone, first I do not some have even come close to rock bottom yet...some of them are young and immature to begin with.
My answer is: The have no clue that Christ is the only solid rock to stand on at the bottom. So its likely when they get there they will continue to sink in the sand.

As an atheist, I'm happy to say I've never hit "rock bottom". I'm an effective agent of my own life, living in the real world, appropriately skeptical even with respect to my own beliefs. Not surprisingly, that pays off in terms of things like employment, relationships, adequate savings, avoiding dangerous drugs, etc.

Actually, I've hit rock bottom and kept my Atheism throughout my entire life. Growing up, I never condemned any religion like I do now. But, life experiences have taught me that there is no god because if there was, he/she/it is a lousy god who lets innocent people suffer and die! If god supposedly made the world in 7 days, then surely he/she/it could step in and save innocent people from being beheaded, like Nick Berg, Paul Johnson, Daniel Pearl, the Korean dude...I forgot his name, sorry. Or innocent children from being murdered or born with AIDS because of their crackhead mothers, Come on! So, actually, for me, hitting rock bottom solidified my Atheism!

God is sanction for the weak. Atheism requires strength of mind and responsibility for ones failures and shortcomings. When a well-found Atheist hits ROCK BOTTOM, they simply pick themselves up; it's called taking responsibility for ones own life. They don't "run" or hide behind superstition.

>How come at the same time as human beings hit all-time low, they in no way "flow operating to atheism"? because atheism in accordance to se would not provide you with a useful imaginary buddy who can precise each and each of the global's wrongs. Atheism by technique of itself would not provide you with any emotional help. >in basic terms once they get right into a difficulty the position they don't "have a prayer to their names"; actually; they strive against to flow run to the the single "possible" position that ought to help them. they received't have the right understanding about who the real God is. Thay would falsely run to three non secular concept device. yet, in they're desperation, and hopelessness, they well known that, there's a "God". carry on a 2d! let's get this immediately the following. Theists received't attempt to get emotional help from atheism, real. yet what you look suggesting now should be that atheists attempt to get emotional help from theism. Sorry, notwithstanding it really is in basic terms undeniable pretend. in case you want to argue adversarial to atheism, i like to recommend adversarial to attempting to discredit the atheists by technique of saying that they truly are theists deep down. Why? properly, for one project, atheists ought to turn an identical argument round and use it adversarial to you in elementary words as effectively. And for yet another project, it makes it look like you're grabbing at straws, which in turn exhibits you've did not decrease back your arguments up with extremely evidence. it really is truly no longer an truly sturdy concept.

Not necessarily. Some atheists used to be Christian and found so much confusion and conflict that they ran to Atheism. I believe in God though. I'm just saying.
