babies themselves are precious lives but i'm sorry a fetus IMO is not. Why do you all get hung up over a fetus? it's alive yet so is bacteria, skin cells, microscopic organisms, chicken fetuses. So what if it's a human fetus. really. I don't hate babies or people but sometimes i think people get too caught up in emotions to discuss abortion realistically.

That will be a privilege to few blessed souls but he did magnify his 5 wounds through his beloved priest, Padre Pio who is now a saint.

Former pastor and Southern Baptist leader Lonnie Latham, who had for years prominently preached against homosexuality, was arrested outside a hotel in Oklahoma City in 2006 and charged with soliciting a lewd encounter with a man. But rather than tearfully apologize and enter rehab, Latham demanded a trial to proclaim his constitutional right to engage in consensual sex with an adult male, and in March 2007, he was acquitted. It seems to me that most christians are very hypocritical and "holier than thou" is that what the bible teaches? If so f*ck religion.

...when ordinary Americans do not have that right?

Put religion aside for a moment. I know doctors have to make split second "life and death" decisions all the time, but they are always to make the decision in an attempt to preserve life, isn't that right?

Ok, so if a healthy woman is carrying a healthy baby (fetus, if you prefer), why are they able to murder it at the woman's request and have no legal consequence?

It is human and it is alive.

They come on there slam dunking other people's belief's claiming how they don't believe in God - and make silly remarks about religion - regardless of what kind. Is religion knawing at their heart so much they have to come out swinging at it to keep it at bay? They all sound like the religious boards are starting to really make them wonder about their own beliefs. If it didn't bother them, they'd move on to questions and answers they could really contibute to - in an adult manner.

Has anyone out there had any ghostly experiences? Do you think that these things are the result of an overactive imagination OR are u convinced that there is a supernatural presence in this world?

I want to hear your stories, genuine experiences. Does anyone out there believe in spirit guides or guardian angels? Would love to hear about any real, genuine experiences that people have had.

Many thanks.

I know that Christianity has the devil, but what is the symbol of evil in other religions? Also, would these other religions think that these evils/devils/demons be responsible for the violent nature of man in recent years. A good example is the very recent VA Tech shootings. Would other religions think that maybe something like a devil/demon/evil be influencing others to do these things?

My heart goes out to the victims and their families.

The April issue of TIME magazine featured a book excerpt (last accessed 4/13/07) from the forthcoming Einstein by Walter Isaacson. Titled “Einstein and Faith,” the excerpt clarifies the nature of Einstein’s belief in God as well as his relation to his Jewishness. His parents Pauline and Hermann were quite unreligious, spiritual kin to not a few Jews in the 21st century. Despite this upbringing, young Einstein took a passionate turn to Judaism for several years, then quite suddenly abandoned it all at age 12.

He felt atheists were arrogant; in contrast, he felt utterly humbled before the “unattainable secrets of the harmony of the cosmos.”

If you are religious, and you think abortion is wrong because of some old book...
Fair enough if you have considered the whole debate and come to your own opinion, and then never would have an abortion. But how can you justify making decisions for other people based on something that might not be true (well it might not be).
Don't you think that, if you do believe an old text speaks to you, you can live your own life by it, but not use it as justification to control others ?

Everyone believes in something. My primary question is: Do you believe in God? Or is there something else in your life?

and said he's gonna stop smokin, but i was a believer at one time and i learned when i was 10, a sin is a sin, whether its rape or a lie....their equal in gods eyes, but in mans their not. but a true christian will live by christs' judgments not his own. so i got my friend to start smokin again (seldom tho) and he just asks for forgiveness and feels good that he has salvation and his good ol' buddy from pre-school...

so gimme some feed back christians, what do u think of this idea. or do u think ranking sins counts when u die?

He gets up after being dead three days, and starts walking around like nothing ever happened? Then rose into the sky, right?

Earlier he had said he would send a sacred ghost to keep them company until he gets back, okay? (He had also said "Except ye drink my blood and eat my flesh...")

A week later they convene a big meeting, and the sacred ghost shows up, only it's Jesus' uncle wearing a sheet.

He serves wine and muffins, and before long they are speaking in a language they do not even understand...

Question: Is this the scenario? The origins of Christianity?

One more question: Is Christianity creepy?
Or is it a lot of fun? If you enjoy creepy things can it be a lot of fun?

Writing in CAPS is considered shouting. O-k who made up this stupid rule. yeah if you get a job and the boss tells you not to write in CAPS and you do. That is disrespecting the bosses orders.

I'm minding my own business. Just because 92% of the world follows Statis Quo' doesn't mean I have to. You care about the opinion of others I care about the truth of the situation. Writing in CAPS is not written in the Bible, therefore I can write in CAPS and there is no proof of me being rude. FIND PROOF THAT THIS IS RUDE. I don't care what it's " considered to be". CAPS is CAPS, not an expression of anger. If the man who made this rule said CAPS were polite, everyone would be using CAPS! I'm keeping it real no matter what anyone says. Do petty things like this matter. We are all being judged by God on his rules.
