the 3 wise men brought him gold, frankincense(???), and myrh. this made jesus very wealthy but he gave it all away.

they say the pope has what he has because the people gave it to him. he should give it all away not keep it. but he is not of God so he doesn't

Thanks David now 1 billion Catholics can go jump in the ocean because you have cleared this up for us,it seems that over 40yrs of ecumenism and the world council of churches has been for nothing if you are anything to go by.

The Pope has very little. He uses a lot of things that previous popes used. The place where he lives is not his. He does not will it to anyone after he dies.

Have you read the Bible?
When Jesus was to be crucified, there was a huge fit over who would received/get his robe. His robe was seamless, which means back then it was "tailor made". It was comparable to our "Armani".

Take a look at the possessions of the late John Paul II in his will. One watch and a few books. Sounds pretty poor to me.

Giving away all his money to those who are in more dire a need for it is a better idea though. :-)
