Former pastor and Southern Baptist leader Lonnie Latham, who had for years prominently preached against homosexuality, was arrested outside a hotel in Oklahoma City in 2006 and charged with soliciting a lewd encounter with a man. But rather than tearfully apologize and enter rehab, Latham demanded a trial to proclaim his constitutional right to engage in consensual sex with an adult male, and in March 2007, he was acquitted. My mind flashed to P. T. Barnum. He said regarding suckers, "There's one born every minute." Who knew he was speaking about former pastors of the Southern Baptist persuasion?

It is a shame to even speak of things done in darkness. Furthermore, and I have said this often, Johnny's inability to add 2 + 2 and come up with 4 does not invalidate mathematics, so don't buy the notion that this somehow disproves Christianity.

I think leading such a repressive lifestyle leads to natural curiousity, or taps suppressed urges.
A lot of gay people hate who they are because of their perception in society. Some go as far as to preach against it to hide their true selves. Sad.

He has fallen, The Book of matthew describes such people.
Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Hmmm. I wonder how many homosexual people he had caused to shake in their boots while he preached to them from the pulpit?

Never heard of him or his story. If its true-bet he is not in a Baptist church any more. They deal with this kind of thing swiftly.
