I don't believe in this so called 'evidence'. Plus, thousand of years ago....long before this 'new technology & evidence' started, Jesus warned us that this would happen. Go figure that one!

First off I am a little thrown by the wording you use. You state the Bible is wrong and has been proven wrong but give no clarification as to how you have found this information. You talk about the Catholic church in the same breath, holding to antiquated beliefs, but don't say how this is shown in the Bible. Not sure how that makes the Bible wrong. And the word is Testament not Estimate.
Before you go spouting off at the mouth with your off cuff ideas, maybe you should read the book you so quickly scoff at. I feel that a lot of confusion could be figured out by atheists if they just would read the Bible that they degrade. BTW do you believe in Evolution, because if you do then you believe in someone elses' unproven ideas. Evolution is still a hypothesis not fact, but Atheists use it all the time try to prove their point. At least Christians can prove that the stories in the Bible that have been written on have happened.
Guess I missed in a previous question that you grew up in the church. I did also, I turned my back for 10 yrs. Found that all the new age, other religions and live my way lifestyles didn't work. I have seen evil, I have felt the Holy Spirit and seen the power of prayer. I know without a doubt there is a God, Jesus is His son that he sent to take our place and He left the Holy Spirit to guide us when he Ascended. I am having my own issues and still do with not being allowed the ability to read the other Disciples accounts of Jesus words and finding some contradictions in the translations for the Bible. I don't believe in every word in the Bible, I do believe in the what Jesus said and did. One thing I would really like to do is learn Greek so that I can understand what it was that Jesus really spoke. I feel I have learned more in my Christian walk than any other path I have strayed down. Wish I could just get some better clarification like Thomas did. No nail scars needed, just the Truth to the message He left.

When the Bible was canonized under Emperor Constantine (c.350 AD), politics of the day called for a force to unite the people. Therefore, they chose one view of Christianity and everything else was burned and banned under penalty of death. The church had huge power in government for hundreds of years.
Along with that whole process, the idea has been ingrained and beat into people in Christian countries, If you take a certain opinion (or at least say you do), that makes the whole difference between a good and bad person. There's no responsibility with that, so the appeal is tremendous. All I have to do is believe in the "literal" interpretation, or whatever the church says, and I get to be a "wonderful Christian" no matter who I rob or who I sleep with.
Unfortunate history is the answer.

Use your brain, dude. The Bible is not a science book. God gave us His work thousands of years ago. It's a book about Him, not about technology or science. So you expect that he should have told Moses that the world is round and that we are only one planet in a vast universe. Why would he?
As to the second part, you are right. The organized church tends to turn it's traditions into dogma. The whole idea of the organized church however is far from what God intended, so it's not surprising that it's full of crap that has nothing to do with God or his will for us.

Everything that is used to "disprove" these theories is made by man. Everyone that tries to place limitations uses the human ideology. Does that sound backwards to you? We are starting in the middle to try and disprove a beginning we were not even here for. How is that possible? We can't even "create" something that goes beyond our universe, so how can we measure, prove OR disprove something we not only cannot see, hear, taste or touch, but can't contain?
IMHO, I thing that to try to disprove anything when it comes to the Bible is impossible. All the equipment, hypothesis, MENSA members, and all the pontificating in the world can only be measured by human standards, and that is not very much.

I am a Jew and take interest in what you say-interesting you tell people they do not need to go through a priest to have their sins forgiven-well you agree with Jesus-that is a good thing.
The point I would make is I was told to reject Jesus and salvation, yet this Bible is the very thing that convinced me that Jesus is our promised messiah, and I recieved hope
Convinced Jesus told the truth about salvation, so I prayed and recieved him into my heart= The Messianic words to HaTikvah-my own national anthem that gave me no true hope when I was -given the original national anthem of Israel - the Messianic one is ="Long I wandered long I strayed, searching for God and his Messiah's reality, then I found him------His love laid hold of me--------pause---- now I know him ------as my best friend------now i know his shalom with my heart-----now I have peace and hope that never will depart!
then I believed Isaiah 52:13-53:12 He will be exalted but first marred more than any man. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. He will be despised and rejected and our sins will be made to light on him. All we like sheep have gone astray but the Lord will make to light on him the iniquities of us all. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich.
through this I found our Messiah Jesus asked forgiveness of my sins and him into my heart to be my friend to help me, amen (Revelation 3:19&20 He promised in His love for each person knockin on our heart door to come in)
and I got the true hope of my Jewish people, with Him my savior and best friend Messiah life is grand.
what part of the prophecies perfectly fulfilled in Jesus do you think isnt true and
as you say shouldnt be held onto-and do you think I should get rid of the Messiah my best friend as you say dont hold on tight-- agreed a priest can not forgive sins- yet Jesus truely did for me and is my best friend.

I do not believe anyone has to confess to any mere human.
No place in the Bible does it say you have to go through a middleman.... We all have a hotline directly to God and to tell a human our sins is not necessary..

Study your Bible my child. Read the part where Jesus got up after being dead three days, and started walking around like nothing ever happened, then he rose into the sky and became a god.
Don't forget earlier he had said he would send a sacred ghost to keep them company til he gets back.
What's so hard to understand?
A week after his holy ascension, his followers convened a big meetding, and the sacred ghost showed up, only it was Jesus' uncle wearing a sheet.
He served them wine and muffiins, and soon they were speaking in a language they did not understand.
And the rest is history.
Though Chrisitainity is a hoax, it's a lot of fun. To some a little creepy maybe...

What is this "new technology" that "proves" that the Bible isn't true? Whose d*** have you been s***ing?
So far, I haven't found any "scientific evidence" that proves the Bible to be untrue; on the contrary, REAL science has proven that the Earth is young, there was a global Flood, and life is intelligently designed.

Putting all dogma aside. The truth is Christ lived, died for our sins and rose again into Heaven. He sits at the right hand of the Father and intercede for His children. Forget the rest and trust in Christ. He is the way to the Father and eternal life. This is one truth that all Christian faiths hold as the absolute truth.

christians do not hold tightly to things that they know are not true, they hold to things that, in spite of any evidence or information to the contrary, they believe are true.
that is the whole thing with faith.
believing in the face of otherwise nullifying evidence.
