I know that he is Jehovah Ropha, our healer.
One of my students has asked if the Bible (any version) lists him as our "physician" or "great physician".
I've searched but cannot find it.......

I appreciate your help!

I know that He is our physician and our Healer and that he does not need an operating table, I simply would like to know if there is scripture in any version of the Bible that quotes him as our physician or great physician.

those exact words are what my student is searching for and I am just trying to help him find if they exist or not.

Other than YHVH Ropha, there are no direct titles that imply God is our Physician. However, we know that by His stripes, we are healed! (Isaiah 53)

John 5:7-9

Jesus Christ is the Great Physician. He bends in compassion over the sufferers at the pool. He shows His divine power by the instantaneous cure of a hopeless case. Christ is exhibited as healing others, a divine touch on the bodies and lives of others. He was always touching others, as the process of laying on of hands on the sick.

Interestingly, not even Jesus was known by the title "the Great Physician", even though Jesus miraculously cured and healed thousands and even resurrected the dead. So what title did Jesus enjoy on earth?

(Mark 10:17) a certain man ...put the question to [Jesus]: “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit everlasting life?”

(Matthew 22:16) [Pharisees] dispatched to [Jesus] their disciples ...saying: “Teacher, we know you are truthful and teach the way of God in truth...

(Mark 9:38) John said to [Jesus]: “Teacher, we saw a certain man...

Obviously, the focus of Christ and the Christian congregation would primarily involve TEACHING them...

(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
