Been a Christian, born again, for 26 years. Grew up Catholic before that. Got saved in a Calvary Chapel. That is still a great church but to do God's a change was in order. The church I belong to now, Valley Bible Fellowship, has no affiliations to any denominations yet is one of the largest churches in Bakersfield and the Holy Spirit is evident there by the minute.
When God requires you to exercise your faith it is seldom easy but if Jesus is Lord of your life He makes all things work out. Experiencing the living God in such a personal way has been an exciting walk. I have seen God do so many incredible things.
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Trhough Jesus we can come to the throne of God anytime we want. It don't get any better than that.

I have never been Christian. I was raised by a Southern Baptist-claiming-Methodist mother and agnostic father, grew up studying various religions (much to my mother's dismay) and finally settled on Shinto.
I do not go to a church - Shinto has few temples, and those are generally only used for special holidays.
I look to science for observable facts, but I also like to think that everything has a spirit (and I am willing to accept that it may only be in a metaphorical sense).
[EDIT] Someone stated that Pagans, Hindus & Muslims believe in God; this is not necessarily true. Muslims worship the same God, essentially, but Hindus have many gods that are unrelated to Judeo-Christian concepts and the numerous branched Pagans often have varying pantheons that are likewise unrelated.

I got saved when I was 16. I do not belong to any certain religion but I do go to church to learn. I live by my Bible and when I am asked, what religion I am I just say, Christian.
Being saved was the best decision I ever made and my life has been so blessed thus far..
I have seen miracle after miracle performed on some family and friends and my blessings each day are numerous..
The church I go to is a Baptist Church but I am not Baptist, I like the preacher and his teaching as he stays directly in the Word without giving his opinion on the lesson.
Good question you asked, Blessings~

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been actively involved my whole life, serving as a missionary, Branch President, Gospel Doctrine teacher, Music director, Sunday School President, Clerk, Executive Secretary, etc. I was fully converted while attending Brigham Young University. Until then, I knew the printed answers to questions but I had not felt it inside my heart and mind until that freshman year of college. I felt the love of the saints, the church and of the Lord at that time. I felt the love of my fellow beings and recognized what the Gospel Plan was all about. "This is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man", Moses 1:39, and I became a part of that work.

Well I have been raised in a Christian home my entire life, but I have only been a true Chrisitan for about 5 years. What type of religion are you, lol. I am a Chrisian as I just stated. If you mean denomination, I am a Southern Baptist.
Believing in God does not make you a Christian. Muslims, Pagans, Hindus, and even Satan himself believe in God.
Do you know what a true Chrisitan is? The bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore since God is just, and will not let any sin go unpunished, there must be a sacrifice or we are doomed. So that is why Jesus who was God manifested in the flesh came and died on the cross. What is God worth? God is worth an infinite value, therefore when Jesus died on the cross the sacrifice was worth everything. Jesus did not weep because of the mockings, slashing, or the cross, but because God was going to pour down his wrath upon Jesus, and crush him to death. For whenever God looked upon Jesus, he saw the sins of the world. Therefore in order for one to be a true Chrisitan one must turn away from sin, and receive the infinite sacrifice of Jesus. Just beleiving in God will do you no good. For if God did not spare his own son, how much worse will it be for the sinner.

You have never been a christian (but who knows you are a sister still in the world). By September I shall celebrate the 5th year of my christianity. My religion is James 1:27. I belong to God's church.

I was raised a Christian, the more I learned the less I could accept. I am now Pagan and much happier. The world would be a lot better off if religion was left the personal matter between each individual and such Deity(s) has he or she may recognize, and not treated as a matter for public display. Remember that Jesus said that when you pray you must not in pray in public as the hypocrites do, but to do it in private. I've never understood how Evangelicals feel they are witnesses for Jesus by doing the exact opposite of what he said to do.
