Two insurgents of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have been held guilty by a local court for rioting and murder at Jarulbachai in West Tripura district in 1997.

Additional district and session judge of West Tripura Subhash Bhattacharya on Monday held Ashok Debbarma and Gandhi Debbarma guilty for rioting, murder and arson at Jarulbachai in which 15 persons were killed and six others injured.

The insurgents had set fire to their houses and when the villagers were coming out of their blazing houses, the militants fired at them.

In the police charge sheet, Ashok Debbarma and Gandhi Debbarma were described as the main accused. Ashok was arrested but Gandhi is still at large...

"I would prefer to say that Rudolph is a religiously inspired terrorist, because most mainstream Christians consider Christian Identity to be a heresy," Aho said. If Christians take umbrage at the juxtaposition of the words "Christian" and "terrorist," he added, "that may give them some idea of how Muslims feel" when they constantly hear the term "Islamic terrorism," especially since the Sept. 11 attacks.

Jan. 22, 2004 -- An anti-abortion activist, calling for a new wave of violence against clinics and doctors, is following the example of violent Islamic fundamentalists, telling those who share his views to become "Christian terrorists" and promising them a reward in Heaven.

Christian Terrorists Kill 44, Wound 118 in Attacks in Northeast India

GUWAHATI, India (AFP)
October 2, 2004

Some 44 people were killed and 118 wounded in three nearly simultaneous bomb blasts Saturday morning in Dimapur, Nagaland's commercial hub, in what a top official called the "worst ever terrorist strike" in the tiny state's history.
Gunmen in neighbouring Assam state later killed 15 villagers and injured a dozen more, police said.
"There were limbs everywhere and blood was splattered all over," said student leader T. Zheviho who was at crowded Dimapur railway station where one bomb exploded as passengers awaited a train.
Two other bombs went off in the Hong Kong market, which sells Chinese goods, and an adjacent market.

I don't believe that Christians are terrorists.
My mother, family members are Christians.
Yet, why do people believe that all Muslims are terrorists?

Angeltree, can you read?

Where did I write that since "Christians do it" then it's ok for Muslims.

Please, don't put words in my mouth.
Read very carefully about what I'm trying to say.

There are people who call themsleves Christians and they use bombs. Yet, they aren't Christians!
There are people who call themselves Muslims and they use bombs. Yet, they aren't Muslims!

Angeltree, read some sayings of the Muhammad (pbuh)

God is merciful to those who show mercy to others.

Power consists not in being able to strike another,
but in being able to control oneself when anger arises.

Honor your children and thus improve their manners.

The three best things:
to be humble amidst the vicissitudes of fortune;
to pardon when powerful;
and to be generous with no strings attached.

Whoever does not express his gratitude to people will never be grateful to God.

The best people are those who are most useful to others.

Living among others is a cause for blessing,
while seclusion is the cause of torment.

Happy is the person who finds fault with himself
instead of finding fault with others.

From morning until night and from night until morning
keep your heart free from malice towards anyone.

A perfect Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands mankind is safe.

There has always been Christian extremest that act like terrorists, for instance bombing abortion clinics or gay bars. The Christians usually just say that they aren't real Christians. We must learn that religions aren't bad, it is the radicals in the religion. People of all religions must band together and stop the hate and spread love and tolerance.

Nice dodge there, Jinenglish....

It surprises me how "hard" people think it is to find a Christian terrorist. Its really quite simple - just look at Northern Ireland, where the Christians and Protestants have been killing each other for 50+ years now....

And that is no third world country Jin....and, LOL @ jeanmarie.... Why is it whenever someone gives evidence of a foul Christian, other Christians call that particular example "not a true christian?" Well, Stalin wasnt a true atheist either, so I guess that means you cant blame atheism for all those deaths, right??

That is why Judaism nonetheless exists at present. It's no longer that they do not feel Jesus existed, they only do not feel he used to be the Messiah on the grounds that the Messiah used to be supposed to meet the prophecies you stated above. The Christian interpretation of the Messiah is specific from what used to be prophecized within the Old Testament. Edit: Again: Jewish Messiah = Hasn't come but. Christian Messiah = Different Interpretation.

Well, you are correct. There are criminal and terrorists who claim to be Christian. There have been people throughout history who claimed to be killing in the name of Christianity (sometimes their victims also claimed to be Christians).

We Christians certainly don't want to be put in the same group as them. And Muslims don't want to all be affiliated with terrorists who kill in the name of Islam.

Most Christians and most Muslims are peaceful people. It is the crazy element in both faiths that make us look bad.

I don't understand why more people don't realize this.

Religion is used by people because they rely on it and fight for what is right because of religion. Why Not think about things that would need NOT the aid of religion. Why put your mind in much thinking. Religion is something created by us Humans, it's how we think. Think of it, without humans there is no religion. It is just something humans created. You don't have to believe in everything the religious officials say for they are also merely humans. To believe in your self and faith to yourself and what you understand as a good person is the greatest thing to understand. You don't have to do all the things your religion tells you. If its for the good of the human race, then go for it. Don't do things that would harm others for it will do no good.

CAN'T WE HUMANS RELY ON OUR BRAIN POWER instead of religion to tell us what to do?, WE ARE THE SMARTEST CREATURES IN THE WORLD, WHY CAN'T WE MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE?

Wait a minute...you found a story about a couple of "Christians" who were terrorists, and you want to use these guys to tell us that Muslim terrorism is now OK because "Christians are doing it too"??
Or did I musunderstand you?
Did you know that Jesus commanded His followers to love their enemies, to pray for those that abuse them? Did you know that Jesus also said that His followers are those who obey His commands? His main command is that we love one another. So, by Jesus' own words, these killers are not followers of His, no matter what they call themselves.
Now, tell me...what does Muhammed say?

what third-world country was that again?

those people were savages before Christianity, and they will always be savages.

edit - in the U.S. we have laws when people decide to become terrorists. In predominantly Muslim countries, it seems the laws encourage people to become terrorists.

edit # 2 - St. Peter, the conflict in Northern Ireland is more political than it is religious. The fact that the British are predominantly Protestant and the Irish are predominantly Catholic makes it appear that the conflict is religious-based, but it's not.

If I told you that I am a follower of Briar Rose but, did not even know you. Would I be your follower?

Christian/Terrorist is an oxymoron. The Bible says that Christians (followers of Jesus Christ) are known by their love.

To repeat something I and many others on here have said, not all Muslims are bad. Like every other group there are extremists or people who are just plain nut jobs who pretend to be part of groups.
