Been told most of my life that I am a warlock.I hope I spelled it right. So what is a warlock? A male witch? A dork like me with larger than normal canine teeth? What gives?

It looks to be an interesting series of shows about religion, the bible, Jesus etc I am sure some people will be offended but I for one am intrigued by any kind of investigations into the historical accuracy of religious writings and accounts. What do you think of the month long feature? Find it offensive? interesting? ridiculous?

According to few religions, rains are blessings.

Do you like rain?

I've only read up to Ex 21. I feel i'm drawing more strength and wisdom from reading, but after i'm done. I'll feel i'm finished. I won't have anymore knowledge to obtain.

Why do some Christian people so adamant about condemning homosexuality, but ignore other sins...including their own? They say homosexuals cannot be Christians because of this "sin" they commit, but wouldn't the same go for these Christians and the sins they commit? How is one sin worse than another? And one last thing...how is it okay for Christians to say who is going to hell and who isn't? Wouldn't that be God's decision and not theirs?

Sometimes I have to work on Sundays. Is that bad? Do we literally have to go to church and not work. Just like God rested on the 7th day?

No offense to the book. I love God, but some of the rules sound very bad, kind of sexist or something.

There are so many. Are there some that don't follow up with the word of God? Are there some I should avoid, or embrace? Which one do you think God wants me to associate with? Which one will upset God or send me to hell?

Jesus was obviously a hippie and the obscuring of this fact seems to me to be the primary goal of traditional theology and not without good reason. We humans needed conservative tradition and values to survlve in this brutal world; particularly the brutal world of the past. However as time goes by and the true knowledge of Gods' love becomes more accessable to modern humans we naturally become more liberal/ priciple minded beings than conservative/value minded beings. This is I believe Gods, plan for the human race.

God is like "If you don't believe in me you are going to hell....."
"If you don't acknowledge my existence right now, you are going to hell forever cuz I hate you........"
Why would God punish humanity for a life of pain just cuz their ancestors (who were babies at the time and didn't know anything) ate some stupid apple of knowledge or some crap just because God said not to.

If my kid ate some apple that I told them not to eat, I wouldn't punish them with a lifetime of pain.

And why wasn't God smart enough to know that if you tell a child to not do it, that they'll do it anyway. If he never told them not to eat the apples, they would have never eaten them.

And why did God, knowing his creations are babies who of course are more likely to believe a talking tangible snake than some voice in the sky (for all they know, they could be hearing things that aren't there), make some apples he didn't want them to eat, and why did he put them in a place where they could reach?

im married and both my husband and myself do not want children,we may change our minds at some point of time in the future but for now we dont want any.I am 27 yrs old and I decided that to have kids at this point in my life is a major mistake, and I just do not want any.Is it wrong for a person to never want kids.I have many neices and nephews from my sisters and grew up babysitting and taking care of small children now i do not feel like i missed on anything except the feeling of pregnancy and childbirth which soulds very horrifying and painful, anyway i saw how your entire identity is stolen as soon as kids hit the scene and everything is all about them.I cant handle that emotionally, right now we decided not to have any kids cuz i have health problems, but now as i start thinking about it i dont think i ever want any,and especially with my current husband who i dont ever see being able to handle children let alone their care.SO is it wrong to NOT WANT THEM FROM A SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE?

I really don't understand this

Don't you know that you only hurt yourself

when you do that against anyone

would you do that to your mother and father

sister and brother

This is a time in history that will be written through the ages

Is it a lack of knowledge?

Do you not know a legitimate question to

ask?

What do we do?

Do you hate God and Jesus?

Are we not all his children?

If God loves his children so much, and doesn't want them to go to hell, why doesn't he just take away our ability to do wrong and to fail? Why does God let us have the chance to fail and to go to Hell? What kind of Father would let their children burn to death for eternity anyway?

I was born a Lutheran, became Catholic with my family in 6th grade. I've loved my faith, my church... even though my faith has had it's ups and downs.

After 10 months of skirting the issue... my girlfriend and I have decided to start figuring out where we stand. I'm exhausted..and feel unequipped for our conversations.

Are there any non-biased sites that help couples work through these situations?

She also keeps saying "where in the Bible does it say that?" I'm totally impressed that she knows the Bible so well, and admitted I think the Bible is true...but suddenly I'm faced with maybe admitting that what I like or know is tradition vs actually in the Bible.

Any help would be greatly appriciated! thanks!
