All the major monotheistic religions of the world seem to have very similar beginnings, and sometimes just a few degrees of seperation. What do you believe in your heart to be God's True Religion, and why?

This is a reverand from my church and this is going to sound crazy but its true. There is a picture of him in the fellowship hall of my church. His pic keeps like breaking cuz the cardboard falls out all the time....does that mean anything?

But the scariest thing about it is.....Please beleive me...please help im very scared and so are my friends.

He died in the Pasinige in the 1900s from heart attack ( or stroke). When ever we make fun of him something happens.

Once we did and an old man fell down the stairs. Another time we did and a little boy fell down some stairs.

Last Sat. we did it again and my friends dad is in the hospital. He is the current pastor of the church.

Now I know a lot of people wont beleive me but I need help ok...please help!!!!!

This question has bean rattling inside me noggin for a few weeks.

I call THE TRINITY by these names :

GOD THE FATHER >>> JEHOVAH

GOD THE SON >>> JESUS CHRIST

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT >>> YAHWEH

YAHWEH is another name for GOD, and since THE HOLY SPIRIT does not have a specific name, I used this one.

Am I wrong ? Is there a formal name for THE HOLY SPIRIT ?

JESUS IS GOD

The difference between Man and a Animal is that we know the differrence between right and wrong..Animlas do know what love is and respond to love, they understand mothering in procreation and they look for thier instinct in surviving.

However they are animlas and can be very dangerous even when given no reason because they don't have that ability that Man has..

If God did not gives us commandments to live by wouldn't we live or act like an animal? if not who becomes the leader of right and wrong? how are we better than an animal without GOD?

I'm sorry if I seem to be coming back to the same topic again, but it really does interest me. I recently asked people who Joseph (as in Mary and Joseph)'s father was. The majority of answers said Jacob.

Here's my problem:

Matthew 1:16 does indeed say that Joseph's father was Jacob. But why not go by Luke 3:23, which says Joseph was the son of Heli.

Heli's father was apparently Matthat, who was the son of Levi (Luke 3:24). Jacob's father was apparently Matthan, whose father was Eleazar (Matthew 1:15).

So what's up with this? Did Joseph have two Dads? How do people decide which gospel is right?

When I was a Christian I fervently, unceasingly prayed for my family to be saved so we could worship the Lord together and rejoice in Him for eternity. According to the reasons for unanswered prayer (lack of faith, lack of perserverance, unconfessed sin...) I was good there so why would God choose to not save any of my family? And if you're going to use the free will answer, explain why a person would pray if it makes no difference either way.

I would say that our current system of no abortion over 3 weeks is fine. But are a collection of cells with no brain nor nerve system considered human yet? Or is life as a whole, including cells from your skin considered life?

If you are eighteen years old or over and a virgin, are you ashamed of who you are? Be candid! I am a twenty-year-old virgin who has never kissed a female. Eternal Virgin Power!

Why? What makes her weak? She gives life, and does so much more than any man, and gets so little appreciation in return. Most men are very self centered and think it's so easy to care for children and do all of the housework. They think this because they never do it, and don't bother to watch their own children either. This is not what I am experiencing, but I've seen it. I'm willing to bet that if one man had just one baby, the population would soon die out because no other man would ever have a baby after hearing what his buddy went through.

John 3:14 - 17
"As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Was eating the fruit/food given to man "you are free to eat" a blessing given by God but not something necessary for man to do to sustain life seeing he was made for eternity by God until the fall?

Especially christianity? If A&E never put on those fig leafs, god wouldn't have guessed. They were origionally made to run around nakie and enjoy them selfs. So why not return to that innocence?
Is it because god updated their fig leafs to the skins of animals?
Just kidding.
On the serious side though: If you're a part of the creator them self, and if origionally you weren't ment to be ashamed of your body. Then why are you now? And why this modesty stuff?
Shouldn't we all be nakie when the weather is nice?

The last question from a poster was regarding the End Times Scenario, GOD and Global Warming.

As a Christian I see the weather most definetly has to do with a Sign of The Times, and us being the *Final Generation* (The Fig Tree Parable) But let's look at this this way if we have a couple of devastating storms like the one that New Oleans suffered in multiple states, in addition to other states suffering huge losses due to the weather the government says they could go bankrupt, our society and economy could be turned upside down not in a hundred years but this year.

Counting on GOD is the only thing that will help people's suffering and you own will to help people where you can..

Are most people counting on the government to help them with the crisis of Global Warming and it's negative effects on there life?
