Especially christianity? If A&E never put on those fig leafs, god wouldn't have guessed. They were origionally made to run around nakie and enjoy them selfs. So why not return to that innocence?
Is it because god updated their fig leafs to the skins of animals?
Just kidding.
On the serious side though: If you're a part of the creator them self, and if origionally you weren't ment to be ashamed of your body. Then why are you now? And why this modesty stuff?
Shouldn't we all be nakie when the weather is nice?

There is nothing essentially sinful about nudity (Genesis 2:25). Adam and Eve did not realize they were naked after the Fall (Genesis 3:7-11). Before the Fall, they were naked, and it was good (Genesis 1:31). Sin is what caused nakedness to become a problem. Sin introduced lust, immorality, and perversion into the human race. As a result, we can no longer look at a nude person of the opposite sex in a pure manner. God made clothing for Adam and Eve to resolve this problem (Genesis 3:21). If God approved of nakedness, He would have simply told them that being naked was okay, and they did not need to feel embarrassed or ashamed. The fact that God clothed Adam and Eve indicates that God expects us to be clothed.

It depends on the religion.

In some Traditions of Wicca, ritual nudity (called "going skyclad") is practiced among adult coven members or by solitary practitioners. There are many reasons Wiccans do this, but primary among them are (a) appearing before the Gods as we were born, without markings of rank; (b) appearing before other group members without markings of rank; (c) being naked in order to facilitate the flow of magical energy over and through the body.

Wiccans do not consider sex or sexuality to be sinful in the same way that other religions do, and generally believe that all bodies -- regardless of age or appearance -- are to be respected as temples housing the spark of the Divine. Therefore, perhaps it's not surprising that ritual nudity is sometimes practiced.

It isn't. Like all atheists, you're a complete ignoramus. There are many religions. As far as your query or whatever Judaism is only one that has a problem with the nude body that I know of,and they've got a very serious problem; the Hebrew Bible is filled with weird morbid stuff on "nakedness". Since this stuff was annexed on to Christian scripture - I have no idea why,Marcion raised very good arguments against it - it has been an influence in Christianity,or was until about fifty years ago when most mainstream Christians pretty much stopped reading the so-called O.T. By the way,I'm curious as to why you directed your dumbass attack toward Christians instead of the Yehudi? Wouldn't be PC,huh? Is that it? Well, guess it's obvious - plus you wouldn't have the guts.

Adam and Ever were not naked, befor they became naked after they blew-it.

Befor they sinned, there Clothes was "The Light of GOD".
So much of the Creator Flowed through them (GOD is Light) that their bodies were hidden beneath Light.

You have probably seen UFO movies where the door to the spaceship opens, and so much light comes out that you cannot see through it.
Something similar to that.
Ditto.

Oh Honey, you must be young with skinny legs. Trust me love, when you get older clothes will be your best friend. Actually, to answer your question Adam and Eve, only became ashamed after they sinned. So, it is the sin nature in us that makes us feel that way. Dirty old men checking me out, doesn't appeal to me. But, in Christianity, moderation is the mode of dress and that is fine with me.

The problem is this: When Adam and Eve were naked, they were also innocent.

Now that the blinders are removed, the sight of the opposite sex in the nude can be stimulating, and causes each other to sin (in practice or the heart), unless they are married to one another.

Actually it was God who made those skins to cover Adam and Eve.

Humans have a huge problem with lust when we have clothes on.

We can't return to the innocence of the Garden of Eden cause we're all sinners now.

It is for the sake of productivity --- the same reason marijuana is illegal. If women didn't wear clothes humankind wouldn't have evolved beyond all the other animals. If women walked around naked, all men would think about is sex. Nothing would ever get done because nobody would ever think to do it.

To the wiccans its not a taboo.
For Christian believers nudity can be considered taboo if it can cause us to think thoughts that could lead to sin.

Religious taboos are a result of social taboos. Don't forget that humans create religion, so them blame is on humans if something doesn't seem right in a religion.
