I would say that our current system of no abortion over 3 weeks is fine. But are a collection of cells with no brain nor nerve system considered human yet? Or is life as a whole, including cells from your skin considered life?

If you didn't understand what I just ask here's a simple version:

Do you believe A baby is human we it is first joined by Sperm and Egg, or is it human when the brain develops and starts to resemble one?

Please try not to use religious standing on this one, and more of what do you think from logic.

Conception.

As soon as conception starts everything is beginning to form. So to me there is no difference. Once conception then he/she is human and should be treated as one.

The answer is obvious, if two HUMANS are involved, and one contributes an egg, and the other contributes a sperm, then those are TWO HUMAN cells. BUT, when they unite, then the combined results become a HUMAN being in the first stages of life. The combined cells become a separate human being, apart from either parent, and has it's own DNA. Does a baby become a baby when it's head leaves the mother's body, or is that just another stage in the unborn child's continued existence?
Everything that a baby needs to grow, and develop, is already miraculously present when conception occurs. When a woman goes to her doctor, the doctor doesn't need to add anything externally to help the baby develop, it's already present. So if you stop this from happening by aborting, you are ending the life of a human being in it's continuing development. Why would someone want to stop a life that is continuing to grow and get healthy??? Would someone take a loved one off of their life support if the diagnosis was that they would continue to get healthy enough to function as a normal human being?
I do believe in exceptions if the life of the mother is definitely threatened, but most abortions are done as a last minute birth control method.
And I believe that the unborn child deserves the same rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that we all have. If the unborn child is denied life, then there is no liberty, or pursuit of happiness, allowed for them.

Really, it doesn't matter when life starts or when it's considered Human. I'll tell you why. Upon conception there is a potential of life. In other words, even if the small embryo isn't considered alive, it will be sooner or later. So although an abortion may not "killing", It is at least preventing a life from living.

I'm all for the choice of women, And I see abortion is necessary in some cases. But abortion in general ,not only does it prevent a life from living, but its a way too easy cop out for someone who made a stupid mistake.

Conception. Why? OK, so at conception what is starting to grow? A nothing? To say at conception the cells are anything but an unborn baby are like saying you can go into a birds nest break the eggs and not have stopped a new bird from being born. Of course, you stopped life from happening.

Skin cells do not equal to this issue.

I personally believe it is human at conception. Granted the very beginnings of a human being are a blob of cells, but it is the potential that makes it human. It is what these cells are able to develop into.

When is a dog considered a dog? we know what the end result will be if left alone, nothing changes that fact. why do we consider the precious being forming in the womb anything less than human when we know what the end product is, This is why our children are killing each other in the street's, because they are being taught that life is not sacred , it is okay to kill when you do not look at it as precious life .(nappy headed ho). there has been a diminishing of the respect for human life because of this cavalier attitude toward our own unborn. Who's next? the mentally ill , infirm, poor? This is what evolution, atheism and liberalism has bought us to. the callous disregard for our own life as well as the well being of the planet as a whole. We are "shocked" and indignant when terrorist fly planes into buildings, but we are killing our own in far greater numbers and fight for and enact laws for the privilege of doing so.

if they aren't considered human, what are they considered? this is the thing i don't understand with some people's beliefs. people believe that if it looks more human and thinks on human levels, that it is considered human. what we should focus on is when a baby is ALIVE; LIVING. babies are considered alive, in my opinion, when the egg and sperm meet. when the baby is considered humna, when the egg and sperm meet. regardless of what the child looks like or how it's developing, it doesn't mean it's not human. it's alive. it's living. that's all that matters.

I don't think you can really draw a line. However the earliest women know they are pregnant is two weeks after conception (which is considered four weeks pregnant). At this time the brain is already developing.

At conception
Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He knits us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb.

Damn I'm disgusted at all of the people here.

Potential nothing, We had the potential not have world war 2
We had the potential to have a England run America.

Would you rather save a child in a burning house or a bunch of mindless blob cells in a womb?

this makes me sick
