I am not so sure about my religion. I really want to be a wiccan but, then I'm not sure. Even if I did decide to be a wiccan how do I tell my family? They are all (especially my mom) very Chiristian. This is really confusing!

Bring along some Wiccan friends to show that your parents have nothing to fear.

I know exactly how you feel. i too am in the same boat where my mother is also very Christian and i don't believe she would take to the idea very well. Thus far I've mostly been reading up on the history and beliefs of Wicca and do truly find them to be very enlightening and powerful. I consider myself Wiccan now because i no longer believe in a single god and pray often to the god and goddess. I have not yet told my family, but, believe they have some idea of it since i have many candles and incense in preparation for casting spells. They will just have to accept my decision, just remember, it is your decision to make, don't let your family hold you back from your true beliefs. I recommend a great book if you're interested, "Wicca for Life" by Raymond Buckland. I'm a slow reader and unfortunately havn't found time to read fully through it, but it has been a true awakening thus far. Good luck in your decisions, and remember, "so long as it harm none, do what thou wilt". Blessed be

Start by reading everything you can on Wicca and Paganism. Find out the TRUE facts, not the propaganda put out by the religious right.
There is a little book by Scott Cunningham on "The Truth About Witchcraft." It is very easy to understand, easy to read, and answers many questions on Wicca/Witchcraft/Paganism.

I studied religion and the Bible for over 35 years and finally found Wicca/Paganism. Remember, the path you choose is not etched in stone. Keep learning, keep an open mind. Keep studying and learning.

As far as your mother goes, if you find that Wicca is right for you (or any religion, for that matter), and you feel comfortable in it, that is YOUR decision to make. If you are still living at home, I would suggest being open and honest with your family, give them the book I stated above, and answer all questions as honestly as you can. There is nothing evil about Wicca, for it is only a Nature based religion, teaching respect for yourself, others, and all of Nature. We do not sacrifice anything, in fact, abhor blood letting of all kinds. Many of us have pets that we love and treat like our children. There are Wiccans/Pagans in all walks of life, including doctors, lawyers, Big Brothers/Sisters, down to the man who picks up your garbage. The majority of us are very intelligent, open-minded people who are also very ecologically minded.

Allow your mother and family to see, by your example, just how much Wicca is teaching you to become responsible for your words and deeds. Respect others and ask that they respect your choices. Show them that you have weighed all the pros and cons and have come to an informed decision.

Good Luck and may Goddess Bless

I wouldn't tell them until you were sure this is what you wanted...explore more first to make sure. If it is, then you can only live your life for yourself and not for others and they shouldn't force their faith on you.

Try it on the same as if you were purchasing a pair of shoes. If it fits, go for it, if not, try something else.

There is a way which seems right unto man, but in the end it leads to death.

Choose life, not death.

First, don't put any thought on what you're family will think. It's you're decision, not theirs. Secondly, if it feels right, it probably is.

If you want to follow something follow Jesus don't follow a religon follow Christ himself, people don't need to follow anything but Christ not a denomination, or a religon, or a cult, they need to exsperiance Jesus in their lives.
