Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

Deu 18:12 For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

I am new in my husband's country (Canada), so a month ago, I started exploring a church called the Evangelical Fellowship. I was approached by a young woman at the supermarket who asked me if I wanted her church to pray for my needs and took down my contact details. A week later, I was invited for a variety show at the church. My husband is an Atheist , so I went alone bcoz I wanted to meet new friends and to remain in touch with my spirituality. I was ushered next to a girl with a bubbling personality, and right away she was acting like we've being friends forever. She invited me for coffee to meet her other women friends and they claimed that all their friends were from this church and they were like family. But I didn't know what I was getting into, until the leader of the gang said she would invite me over for a party with the girls, and I said I wanted to bring a dvd to watch together, but she said we wouldn't have time. I was very confused, and wondered why we were meeting if time

Why all the animosity towards advancement?
Scientist's seem to be generally hated by the religious community... because as science discover's more and more truths, it leaves less and less for the religious to have faith in.
One fine example: The first to say the Earth was NOT flat were lynch mobbed by religious freaks who saw it as blasphemy to question what the good Lord had created... why?
And don't give me "That's not what really happened blah blah blah... HERE'S what actually happened"...

My understanding of who gets to go to heaven is that it's people who accept Jesus as their savior - forgiving all sins, etc.
So I was thumbing through old old magazines at my doctor's office and I found the Matthew Shepard story in one. And there was a picture of a woman in a yellow raincoat and big boots holding two signs, reading "Matt in Hell" and "God hates fags."
Now this woman was a Christian and vocally so. And if God is very much in support of being tolerant, nonjudgmental, and not throwing stones, he would be against this woman's actions.
So, if this woman is a Christian, God would still forgive her this. My question is, if God forgives her this huge (I consider it unforgivable) sin, and she gets into heaven, is heaven still going to be a place where we want to be?

People believe that god doesnt exist and yet they cant support their beliefe. havent u once looked around, alone, peacfully and asked how this world was created? or did u just say that there was no god and just went on with ur life? I know u might ask "why do u believe in god? how do u know he exists". The answere is I believe in him because it obvious he does. the Quran, for example. if u ever study it ul notice that no human being on earth can ever write something that powerful, wise, heartbreaking and so true. Non believers, look around u and just ask urself "how did this whole world begin?" u might come to an answere that god created it. please post ur thoughts

Where have we been for a billion years before we incarnated and where will be for billions of years after we die. We are only here on earth for a duration of an average of 60 to 100 years. Then where we have been for ever and where we are going for ever is reality. This life would be like a blink of an eye and a dream compared to where we will wake up to.

But if there is spirit and a resurrection then this life would be real and reality will be life for ever.

But on the other hand, if reincarnation is real, then this life is real and the next will be as real as this life.

But if we are only a source of energy after we die and not spirit and reincarnation is not real, then this life is not reality. It may physically real, but true reality would be where we have been and where we are going.

And if there is absolutely darkness and a void of nothing after we die, then there is no reality in this life or the next

What do you think it is.

"If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple." (Luke 14:26)

Why do you say I can never love my family? After all, several of you have just said that these verses are the truth. I feel sorry for your families.

Human rights in Islam?

BTW, I'm aware of the foul laws such as honor killings and so on. But it's not Islam! It's the culture!
Pick up the Quran and you will see that it's no there!!

The life and property of all citizens in an Islamic state are considered sacred, whether a person is Muslim or not. Islam also protects honor. So, in Islam, insulting others or making fun of them is not allowed...

...Racism is not allowed in Islam, for the Quran speaks of human equality in the following terms:

We should even be just with those who we hate, as God has said:

http://www.islam-guide.com/ch3-12.htm

These are just SOME of the human rights found in Islam.

Muslims are compatible with 21st century and Western culture.
Hello! There are rough 1 million Muslims in the U.S. alone!
And they are living with having Islamic beliefs and Westerns.

Peace be with you!

(((hugs)))

Proud American Muslim!!!

I'm talking to deaf ears to some, but for those are who willing to listen what do you think?
