Easter, the Sunday of the Resurrection, Pascha, or Resurrection Day, is the most important religious feast of the Christian liturgical year, observed at some point between late March and late April each year (early April to early May in Eastern Christianity), following the cycle of the moon. It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, which Christians believe occurred on the third day of his death by crucifixion some time in the period AD 27 to 33. Easter also refers to the season of the church year, called Eastertide or the Easter Season, lasting for fifty days, from Easter Sunday to Pentecost; and, in the Roman Catholic Church, to the eight-day feast beginning on Easter Day called the Octave of Easter.
Over time, some of the customs associated with the Christian Easter have taken on a life of their own; and today many families celebrate Easter in a completely secular way, as a non-religious holiday.

My easter was nice.
I didn't spend it with family since they're a 2 day drive away however I did spent it with friends, coworkers and my boyfriend. It was a nice outside event and we hid eggs for the children. It was nice. I guess a break from family events is nice every so often!

Though my practice is Krishna Consciousness we also accept Jesus as the pure son of God. We meditated on his unfathomable mercy upon all the fallen conditioned souls. We didn't eat any animal flesh (never do) because that is one of the ten commandments (though Shall not Kill) We take it very literally because of his love for all living entities including animals. If you are interested in the original New Testament before king Constantine changed so many things google gospelofthenazirenes.co Then you can truly see his great mercy.

I celebrated Easter in my favorite way. I went birding on the upper Texas coast. I saw a lot of early migrating birds like warblers, vireos and tanagers. It beat the heck out of going to church.

Visited the red-neck in-laws & ate lots of chocolate eggs... along with a few moments of gratitude of the renewal of life that Easter symbolizes.
