Hello, Mary:
You probably have read that high solar activity is the major contriutor to global warmng; in fact, the ice caps are melting on Mars right now and cigarette smoke does not reach there, contrary to Gore's statements.
Read the fourth plague: "And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
"And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory" (Revelation 16:,9).
Also, read the entire 24th Chapter of Isaiah. It describes the earth in its dying pains.
Also, there is a page published on the internet that tells the timing of the great controversy between good and evil. Go to www.revelado.org/revealed.htm.
Blessings, One-Way

Probably not today. It's April 15th and here in the North East we're fighting a major snow storm!
Haven't seen any global warming here!
(But the Bible does say that the earth will melt with a fervent heat in the last days. )

the end times is a take on the last day.. the last day from nature's perspective : he works at a distance 5000 yrs back or more so when he's working out in our time he says I go to the last day. to a human it means today... the last day.. when tomorrow comes it to nature will be called the last day.. Global warming.. when nature is hard at work there is a slight rise in temperature usually 1 degree... he/she/IT is working here now... that is why our time is called the last day...

i suppose i will catch flak for this answer, but i think it is misguided to be expending so much effort and energy to the 'end times' question-in my opinion, we should be concentrating more on doing Christ's work here on earth-there is more than enough work to be done...i have been reading of those who say that global climate change, environmental problems, and this mess in the middle east are all good things because they herald Christ's return-there are even those who would advocate the use of nukes in the middle east in an effort to hasten Armageddon...that, to me, is truly ignorant, not to mention, arrogant to the nth degree-who are we to think we have the power, wisdom, OR authority to hasten the return of Christ? folks like that worry me, because i suspect some of them have been whispering in bush's ear...

It is all linked together..All of these predictions are going to come to pass in 3 1/2 years and the earth will be a mess by the time God gets done with it..
Now is the time to accept Christ and escape the wrath of God..

Can't see it myself. Here are a few of the end times prophecies.
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
There seems to be an indication here that the fulfillment of the end times could metaphorically mean different things that take anywhere from a day to a thousand years to come to realisation. Fulfil does literally mean "to carry out, or to bring to realisation." Combined with what Matthew 24:14 says -that the good news of the kingdom would have to be preached in the entire inhabited earth before the end would come - and Romans 13:1 that says that Christians are in subjection to the superior authorities and the commentary on the close relationship of the image of the beast (criminal elements within government etc.) with the beast itself, the end times could refer to each and every time Christians are trying to make themselves heard as citizens. It takes a lot of convincing to get the top people to listen and then the groundswell of support on issues that touch everybody so that changes can be effected in favour of rectifying the damage caused by injustices such as child theft, destruction of property, domestic violence, false imprisonment, sexual assault etc. Christians need to assert their right as citizens despite the fact that they may not have paid employment. Their brains are highly developed! They are useful to the community! The end times are the trialsome bother of dealing with people who repeat the party line and who don't seem to want better health until the balance of power shifts so that people realise (fulfilment) that things aren't as great as they appear. The myth-makers are presenting a false picture - Ezekiel 13:10 - Woe to those who say there is peace when there is no peace.
Back to global warming, why doesn't everybody just paint their houses with whitewash? It takes in carbon dioxide while it's drying. Then plant some trees around to hide the shiny whiteness of it. Also, this one billion tonnes of carbon dioxide that is unaccounted for each year - that's not the bit we're all breathing at any particular moment in time, is it?

No. Global warming is reality. Prophetic interpretations of bible verses are fiction.

It is hard to tell.
I think we will see a dramatic increase in natural and unnatural disasters before Christ returns.
