But I am so disappointed. all this time I thought I existed! I am a witch (sorry procreamer), A Pictish witch to be precise and my "faith" dates back to pre-Christ times. As to the question, as long as ALL parties are open-minded it can (and does) work out. I celebrate every year with friends who ar Christians and friends who are witches (not Wiccan). But it would truly be wonderful if everyone could do that, not just Christians and witches.

Yes -- the only thing that would stop it is ignorance. To be honest Wiccan/Paganism and Christianity are closely related. Fellowship is always a good thing by that both beliefs say the same thing dealing with fellowship. Only those who are ignorant to the fact that just because we may have different beliefs doesn't mean that we are not all human because we are all human, flesh and blood, of the same spirit. Real education is being given all the answers and then being allowed to make the choice of your on belief system. My partner believes that we should all created our what he calls "CORE BELIEFS" and then once those are set in stone go out to other religions/beliefs and if you find something that resonates within you soul lets say in Wiccan as example, "Harm none" then you add it to your core beliefs. What you add to your core beliefs will never conflict each other, and if it does then that part of that belief wasn't meant for you. What we have to do with religion is take what we need and leave the rest behind its the only way to grow spiritually.

Absolutely.
If you study the history of Christianity, you will find that Christians and pagans, for many centuries, frequently sat down together and celebrated pagan holidays in peace. Christians often used pagan names for God when interacting with non-Christians, and did not hesitate to call the Christian God "Zeus," "Jupiter," "Serapis," etc. Some prominant writings from the Church Fathers actually mistranslate "Jupiter" as "God" in an attempt to obscure this fact. Many people misunderstand Paul's references to this practice in the New Testament - he actually gives advice to Christians who want to observe pagan feasts without offending the pagan attendees, and he readily acknowledges Zeus as the God of the Christians. He also states that the pagans know God, that God has manifested himself to the pagans, that the law of God is written on the heart of the pagans, and that God is the God of both the pagans and the Jews.
As for those who quote "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live..." The word "witch" in the Bible has nothing whatsoever to do with modern witchcraft or paganism. Modern pagans adopt the phrase "witch" and "witchcraft" arbitrarily - the term was never used in reference to non-Christian or non-Jewish religion.

It would be wonderful in a perfect world. One where we could openly share our beliefs without persecution, but there are those (on both sides) who would rather judge the other rather than try to understand them. I would love to do a dinner, but the only way to do this, is to not tell the other that they are Christian/Pagan

Depends on who each side brings to the table. My family does it every year. My husband is Christian and I'm pagan. We have two kids and one on the way. We're going to celebrate both sets of holidays for the kids and each other every year. They can decide when they are older what they feel is best to them.

As long as the Christians don't burst into flames about sitting in the same room with non-believers, there should be nothing wrong with it.
I realize I'm asking a lot though...
