Human rights in Islam?

BTW, I'm aware of the foul laws such as honor killings and so on. But it's not Islam! It's the culture!
Pick up the Quran and you will see that it's no there!!

The life and property of all citizens in an Islamic state are considered sacred, whether a person is Muslim or not. Islam also protects honor. So, in Islam, insulting others or making fun of them is not allowed...

...Racism is not allowed in Islam, for the Quran speaks of human equality in the following terms:

We should even be just with those who we hate, as God has said:

http://www.islam-guide.com/ch3-12.htm

These are just SOME of the human rights found in Islam.

Muslims are compatible with 21st century and Western culture.
Hello! There are rough 1 million Muslims in the U.S. alone!
And they are living with having Islamic beliefs and Westerns.

Peace be with you!

(((hugs)))

Proud American Muslim!!!

I'm talking to deaf ears to some, but for those are who willing to listen what do you think?

I'm still all snuffly over my fave about "Heaven lies at the feet of the mother." thing in the Q'uran... tell me that doesn't favor women's rights... huh? There are a lot of really sweet things Muhammad said to treat women well in the Hadiths too... nice stuff.

Jade, just like any other group of selfish idiots using any religion to further their anti-social psycho agendas... so do many use Islam the same way.

Im proud to call you an american my friend, however I do have a serious question on your comments. How exactly does someone define what "authentic" Islam is? I have heard that in many other nations "muslims" claim western "muslims" arent following true Islam.
The Islamic faith has no center piece such as the Pope for the catholics to act as a final word on what is authentic Islamic belief. So how do we non muslims know "real" islam as opposed to as you put it "culturally influenced Islam?" Which one is more correct, and how can we know who is correctly interpretting the Koran if there is no single leadership to determine it?

You are living in a country..that was basically founded upon Christianity and the Bible and you are reaping the benefits of that past heritage.
I say this to answer your question and not to be mean, but I do want to answer honestly as I see things..
Show me a country that is basically founded on Islam that is living a peaceful and harmonious lifestyle and with freedom of other religions in the same country..
I am sorry as you sound like a very nice person, but I just do not see that happening in this world and I don't write this to be mean or offend you but to be truthful.
There are 1.3 billion Muslims in the world so 1 or 2 million does not make anywhere near a majority to be an example..

At least 18 people were killed on the murder spree, but the men were only tried for five of the deaths. Some of the victims were stoned, others were suffocated and at least one man was buried alive, according to the vigilantes' confessions.

These men told the court that their understanding of the teachings of one Islamic cleric allowed them to kill immoral people if they had ignored two warnings to stop their bad behavior, according to the BBC

I think it sounds wonderful but how do you explain all the killings of Hindus by Muslims in Pakistan and elsewhere? I'm not being sarcastic...I am posing a legitimate question to you..

You all have yet to explain 4:34.

As a woman, you being in a "religion", and defending it, with doctrine like 4:34 in the koran, really speaks VOLUMES of you and your self-respect and esteem.

May I suggest some rational, emotive therapy workshops?

Edit: Yeah. You all may be living here. That is a FACT. Like, it's a FACT my dog has fleas. But, neither my dog nor I, want the fleas on him.

Most of us don't want you here. You are the "fleas".

Muslims has no human rights. If you are in Saudi Arabia, you have no rights for almost everything, including worshiping your own God. If you caught then followed by deportation.
