Pray in spirit & truth first thing in the morning. Read as God directs in the Holy Bible. Follow after the Spirit throughout the day.

Also, Church attendance is important. Because God blesses the Church gathering together. Also, we praise God in unity & when we praise Him, God fights our battles for us. It is written that God sits in the praises of His People. And faith comes by hearing & hearing a word about God/ Christ.

The personal prayer closet is important every morning. Build up your most Holy faith by praying in the Spirit. Pray Gods Word out loud. In all things give thanks for this pleases God.

But to tell you the Truth, to see the Kingdom of God you must be born again. Born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with King Jesus, part of the family of God.

Jesus said that He Is the Way, Truth & the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through Him.

What a sweet question, dear soul. God loves you and it is His desire to be closer to you too. I have found in my life that when I take a little time in the morning to pray and just tell God what is on my heart. Like your question, ask God. "How can I be closer to you?" Things will start coming into your life that gently direct you to God. Pray, reading the Bible. taking time to thank God and include Him in your decisions. Ask for help when you need it. Tell Him you love Him, if you don't feel much love right now. Tell, Him that you want to love Him more. God Bless you and may you begin to see the glory of God in your life.

You have to try to put yourself in the mindset of God. How does God see the world around you? What does God want for the world around you? If you are seeking to give peace and grace to people, then you will learn a bit more about what it's like to be beside God, and you will feel God's presence more fully.

First, believe in Him.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Pray. Pray by yourself. Pray with others. Paul says we should pray without ceasing.

Christians are to pray continually. We can’t bow our heads, close our eyes, and fold our hands without ceasing, but those are customs or prayer, not prayer itself. Prayer is communication with God, and we can live each minute of the day in a constant, flowing, conversation with God.

There is significant, important value in a time where we shut out all other distractions and focus on God in a time of closet prayer (Matthew 6:6).

But there is also room - and great value - in every-moment-of-the-day fellowship with God.

There are many valuable implications from this command:

The use of the voice is not an essential element in prayer.
The posture of prayer is not of primary importance.
The place of prayer is not of great importance.
The particular time of prayer is not important.

In other words, you want to become God's friend. If so, then learn from Abraham.

The Bible says that Abraham became God's friend by putting faith in God. How did he do it? He simply did what God asked him to do.

The Muslim observes his Prayers to show devotion and obedience to Allah, because Prayer is one of the greatest forms of worship that Allah likes His servants to offer.

To thank Him for creating us in the best form of creation.

Because He has guided us to the Deen (Complete way of Life, Religion) of Islam.

Prayer is a chance for a Muslim to express to his Lord whatever he feels and needs through Divine Words of Allah i.e. the Qur'an.

To remember his Lord and not forget His commands amid life's pre-occupations.

To ask Allah, The Exalted, to give him aid and continuous guidance in the darkness of life.

To strengthen love and fear of Allah in the Muslim's heart so that he might remain sticking to the Right Path of Islam, and its laws and manners.

Gaining good rewards from Allah and having our sins forgiven.

To rejoice when he finds himself on the Last Day pleased with the great reward allotted to him in the Gardens of Bliss.

Prayer is a unique training and developmental program which, if well and devotedly performed, can achieve for Muslims many valuable physical, ethical and spiritual gains such as cleanliness, health, order, punctuality, brotherhood, equality, social consolidation,… etc.

Rceeive Jesus as your Lord and Savior...by being born again of His Spirit.

"But as many as received him (Jesus), TO THEM he gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe in his name, which were born.... not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God"- (John 1:12)
