9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God.
The Prophet
14 The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the LORD your God has not permitted you to do so. 15 The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him. 16 For this is what you asked of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, "Let us not hear the voice of the LORD our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die."
17 The LORD said to me: "What they say is good. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. 19 If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account.

(Deuteronomy 18: 9-19)
The "Prophet" referred to here is the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the Apostle Peter in Acts 3:22

Yes, It does say to stay away from Psychics and fortunetellers and stuff like that.
that is all labeled as Spirit ism, That belief is that a spirit of a part of a human survives after death of the physical body and can communicate with the living persons. Usually through a person who serves as a medium. Some people believe that every material; object and all natural phenomena have indwelling spirits.
Sorcery is the use of power that is acknowledged to be from evil spirits to communicate with said dead ones. All forms of spiritism are condemned in the Bible.
In 1 Samuel the verses state that King Saul tried to communicate with the dead through the Witch of Endore
I think that is in 1 Samuel 28:3---20 The voice that Saul thought he heard was that of a demond not of Samuel

In the new testament, Gal. 5:19-21 tells us about the worked of the flesh that are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry. and the practice of spiritism...I warn you as I have so warned you...those practicing these things Will not inherit Gods Kingdom!

Lastly, Satan HIMSELF KEEPS TRANSFORMING HIMSELF INTO AN ANGEL OF LIGHT. It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into mimisters of RIGHTEOUSNESS SO WE SHOULD BE not MISLED WHEN SOME THINGS DONE BY spiritualistic means seem to have a temporary benefit

Galations 5-19-21
Luke 9: 24
2 Corinthins 11: 14-15
Matt 24:::24

Spirituality is born from a personal occurrence with a divine, psychic or mystical experience of one form or another which inevitably connects a person to All that Is/God/Goddess/Allah/Great Spirit /whatever you want to call it.

Religion is second hand opinion of someone else’s divine experience. I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, while spirituality brings people together.

Thank God that Spirituality is on the increase!

It doesn't really say to stay away from psychics, it refers to sorcerors as being evil, but it actually embellished psychics.

The story of Daniel and Joseph both involved men that were able to see the future in dreams, is this not an example of psychic activity. People that get upset over psychic and label them as blasphemous, are actually belittling the very people that helped to make up their religon.

The Bible is explicitly clear in its handling of channeling and contacting the dead. Scripture has a well-documented view of the practice of mediums, channeling, and fortune-telling. Leviticus 19:31 states: “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them…”. Leviticus 20:6 says: “I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.” Deuteronomy 18:12 says that consulting mediums or channeling the dead is “detestable.” Clearly, God sees these practices as sinful and completely without benefit.

There was another question posted previously who listed all the scripture quotes. If you're really interested in staying away from psychics, you should hook up with that person.

“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [an ancient occult practice], or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD…”

while Christians think of they are are experiencing clairvoyance, they stated because it prophesy. while they experience different supernatural events, alongside with the perception that they have brought about superb therapeutic or have been miraculously healled, they call it "the presents of the spirit." while somebody else does those issues and has their own innovations approximately what motives them, Christians call those human beings fools erroneous via demons and quote the Bible at them. yet no matter what you call it or who or what you say it comes from, it the comparable component. it incredibly is a human experience because of the fact the human strategies is given to magical, superstitious, and mystical questioning.
