Jesus was obviously a hippie and the obscuring of this fact seems to me to be the primary goal of traditional theology and not without good reason. We humans needed conservative tradition and values to survlve in this brutal world; particularly the brutal world of the past. However as time goes by and the true knowledge of Gods' love becomes more accessable to modern humans we naturally become more liberal/ priciple minded beings than conservative/value minded beings. This is I believe Gods, plan for the human race.

"This is I believe Gods, plan for the human race."

Make no mistake. God's plan for the human race is to save those who obey Him out of love. Who shun evil and love the truth. Who diligently desire to purge sin from their life.

Those who choose to love sin more than God He will destroy.

That's His plan. Its does not mater if we are liberal or Conservative.

If I am interpreting your question correctly, the "revelation process" is what Christian Mysticism is all about.

The "Christian mystic experience" is not something that is taught -- it just happens. In many cases it is not even professed to others. Christian Mysticism also goes by the terms: Enlightenment, Insight, Revelation or "discovering God within yourself."
.
Since most people depend on scriptural interpretation, doctrine, dogma, creeds or personal instruction for "learning about God", the mystic experience is sometimes erroneously categorized as heresy or, in some cases, even blasphemy!

The mystic experience is not all that common (I don't think so anyway) but, once it has happened, a person finds him/herself on a path not traversed by many which is full of wonder and discovery!
