It would be nice to see the places that Jesus lived and the events took place. But it is so dangerous there, I don't want to go.

If you mean the fight over the land near Israel. It is because when Israel was made a state they took land from the people that were living there and gave it to the Jewish people.

God told Abraham to leave his home country and move to what is now called the Holy Land. God told Abraham He would give the land to Him and His descendants. During a time of famine Abraham's grandson, Jacob (also called Israel), went with his family to Egypt. After about 400 years the children of Israel came back out of Egypt and eventually possessed the land again. The most important descendant of Abraham is Jesus Christ. He came to live and die in the land of Israel. Jesus is God in human form. He is holy, so the land became named Holy Land.
Jesus will come back to the land of Israel. So, God has chosen this place as a very special place where He will fulfill His plans for the world.

It is the spot that God has chosen to dwell when he returns, Now he gave it to Abraham in Genesis some were around ch 25ish, now because they did not obey them he had king nebakinazr tear it down and take the people captive for 70 years and that is our book of Daniel, but he always promised to bring them back and in 1948 Israel became a nation again so it is Gods time clock on end time events, now satan will come as Antichrist and say he is Jesus returning to Jerusalem, so in 1967 they had the Arab Israeli war and the Palestinian left in the night and Israel won so and did not let them come back, so that's what the whole Palestinian problem is about, they want to return and the Jews wont let them because of security concerns, but the bible say when you see this happening Jesus return is near, so watch them closely study your bible and read this page'

So many historical things happened there, as well as many things from the Bible. How awesome is it to be in Washington DC? Multiply that by a few times, because faith is generally stronger than nationalism, and you get the incredible feeling of the believers who visit Israel.

The moon? I'm not quite sure how the craters were formed, I'm not sure many people are. Maybe it's mystery that makes the holey land so wonderful.

Oh.. HOLY LAND! My bad.

I believe it was because before our time it was a very beautiful place (similar to some of the island paradises), but through horticulture, & stripping the forests etc away it is now very baren. (that's my general view) & the fact that God said it was special. (probably sitting on the site of the old garden of eden centre)

I am not sure. But it must be worth killing for. People have been doing that for over 2000 years and very often on behalf of the God of "love".
