I've only read up to Ex 21. I feel i'm drawing more strength and wisdom from reading, but after i'm done. I'll feel i'm finished. I won't have anymore knowledge to obtain.

You go back and re-read it and realize you didn't truely understand parts or really didn't grasp things and much of what you "thought you read" you just skimmed over and much of it didn't even register.

After you finish the Bible, you start over, it is a guide for life.

Everytime I read I always find something new and refreshing.

When a preacher teaches on Sunday he usually picks scriptures from througout the Bible for inspiration.

Instead of just reading from front to back, how about spend half the time in the old testament and finsish off the other half of study reading the new testament.

Jesus never stopped reading and studying the Word of God while he was here on earth. Why should we?

The Bible is unique in that it's not just about acquiring information and facts to put in our heads. When we read the Bible, we are hearing from God himself. Our hearts being what they are (wicked and deceitful according to Jeremiah 17), we need the Bible to constantly keep watch over our hearts, our mind, our motives, our words and our actions.

The Bible is a document like any other in that it was written in words and on pages. But the Bible is not like other documents in that it is "living" and "active" and is able to change us from the inside out. We can know the facts but still lack true understanding.

Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

As long as we continue to live, the Bible will always be necessary for our well-being. Jesus likened the Word of God to food. Just because we've eaten today doesn't mean we won't need to eat tomorrow.

Gaining knowledge and gaining understanding are two different things.

You must always stay in the word. Read it again. Study the words not just read them. You will find that the Bible has something new every time you read it. It is living. And you know, maybe the first time you read the book, you may not have had anything going on in your life to call special attention to a particular part, but as your life changes daily, your eyes will be opened to different teachings.

Then go and learn the source languages and find out how different the message is from that translated for you. If you are afraid that might take to long, read other translations and see just how different they are.
The bible is like an obstacle course or a complex vidio game, you make make it through the first time. But you don't become a master and learn all its tricks without delving deep, tearing it apart, and learning all its tricks.

I think the suitable sarcastic response is that once you've finished, you'll be an Official Know It All.
Otherwise, I don't know what happens, but I'll say I admire your stick-to-itiveness in reading your way through it, it's a difficult book to sit down and read cover to cover.
Well, done, keep going.
All knowledge is valuable.

The end comes when we are finally there with Him. So nothing ends. In fact, you'll probably have 50 more questions after the the ones that you had before are answered. that's normal for people who want to know God.

So as the Book of Hebrews says, it's a race, not a sprint, but a marathon.

So continue to trust God for anything that He promised. He's trustworthy.

Romans 1:17
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

So from one reason to faith to another.
