Perhaps if they keep reporting after they've been informed that their reports were bogus.

Does it really matter either way?
People just start a new account and are back on their way in no time at all.
I got a violation for saying YES to a question, that was it just Yes, how is that a violation?
I got a account deleted when I tried very hard to not break any of the rules.
People just won't report anything, then what free-for-all?
It really won't make a differance one way or the other, will it?

I think it is better to completely ignore the 'reporters',O ur own little protest. If the material is clearly within the boundaries shouldn't Yahoo then be accountable as well.

How do you measure intent or understanding? Your definition os "clearly within boundaries" may not be my definition of the same words. If you report and the powers that be think it ok, then Yahoo has the option to remove your account. But, there should be no hard and fast rule about these things.

Yes, I have heard of so many people getting their accounts suspended, just because someone took offence to an answer (and some people are mighty touchy, whereas most people would just take it for it is - an opinion). Maybe YA should actually look at the offending answer/question rather than automatically deleting.
I will admit, I have reported an answer once. Only because it was spam. It was one of those that said "I have the best answer to your question, see my website at hometown.naughtygirlzrus.etc...".

I feel a person can answer and ask questions politely and still correctly express their faith or point of views.
I have seen some quetions and answers I felt could have been reported. They had nothing to do with the opinions they expressed.
I hope when I express my opinions I can do so without watering down my faith but not be smug and not talk down to people.
I did lose my cool one night when a questioner suggested that loving your pets is a perversion.
I have known 3 women without family. Their pets are and were their family. One was done a serious emotional injury by members of her church by putting down her cat. She really went down hill after that.

I would think that YA would look at the material in question and make a decision on it and not just violate it because someone reported it.
Sure are a lot of monkey's and apes on here. Is Wayne your uncle?

Yes, they should. And, if Yahoo is going to continue to use an automated reporting system, there should be a flag for frequent reporters, and those that target others. Those accounts should automatically receive a suspension and force them to have to try to get their accounts back.

No. I don't think so. I know its annoying when they do it to you...but its more an issue with Yahoo, than the person who reports you. I don't think Yahoo specifically analyzes the material that is reported, but only delete the material that has been reported.

No one should be ousted from Yahoo in general. Y/A suspension, yes.
Yahoo Answers should post a BOLD LETTER NOTICE on their joining site that YOUR FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE RULES GETS ALL YOUR YAHOO SERVICES SUSPENDED INCLUDING MY YAHOO AND E-MAIL.
But, of course, if they did this few people would sign up for Y/A, right!
If Yahoo ever ousted me, I'd go Google Full Steam and never come back. Never use a Yahoo search engine. Never get another Yahoo account. If they don't want me, I don't want them.

omg im so reporting you!
jk.
but seriously tho, i havnt reported anybody or been reported, but i feel that free speech should be upheld here. obviously there are certain exceptions, and y! has the right to monitor and control all dialog here, but i dont like the idea of deleting anybodys profile because of what they say or believe, thats just not cool.
