Why do so many Muslims get so upset when they feel Islam has been 'insulted'? Jews and Christians believe what they believe just as strongly as you believe what you believe but they don't react as vehemently to slights, real or perceived. Please keep in mind I'm not saying anyone's right or anyone's wrong--I just truly don't understand this.

For example, would rapists be acquitted on the grounds of temporary possession, would it be legal to stone prostitutes, would atheists be allowed to immigrate?

These are extreme and provocative examples, but please answer thoughtfully.

I told my son that I was going to see the Dead Sea Scrolls on Saturday, and that's what he thought I'd said. Thought it was cute and I should share.

I wonder if they are Bad Squirrel's relatives?

Is it spiritual, mental, physical?
I am a 15 yr. old Christian, and I just don't seem to have a lot of emotion...just lethargic and apathetic. I hate this "feeling" with a passion (I guess you could say that that's a little emotion right there, but it's not really emotion, you get it?) Any explanations would be REALLY appreciated.

with a sleigh of hand??

I mean, do you believe that a god actually made people from CLAY???

And that once it rained so much the whole world became FLOODED???

And that some old man outwitted all-time naturalists and managed to gather samples of EVERY LIVING LAND SPECIES in a few days, and to keep them alive for more than a MONTH in closed chambers, on a wooden piece of floating junk??????

What would have to be wrong in someone's head to actually believe all that crock??

I was visited by some missionaries last night, and I have to say, that their message has followed me all night. It was something I have thought of for a while, but it seemed to get stronger last night. The only thing that bothers me is rumors I have heard of the church, from people who heard from somebody about one thing or another, and I just want to hear some actual accounts from people who have had real life experiences through the church that may have convinced them one way or another. I just want to be as informed as I can with this church. .....Also..my boyfriend of 2 years's father is mormon, but my bf won't join the church if I do..hes talking to the missionaries with me, but has already expressed his opinion to me.

Seek what you wish from God, not from men.
Be satisfied in joy; there is honor therein.
On friends and relatives be not a burden.
Rich is he who hopes from God, not from men.

Im a Christian and Im really tired of hearing sermons That are trying to lure people into church by diluting the gospel....They have gotten so away about having true altar calls, and winning people to christ..Whats wrong? Churches have been become monumental businesses, pastors with huge salaries, big staffs, and shows on stage where you have to have to best singers, best musicians, and so on.... Who can out do who with easter egg hunts..Like we just had one and spread out 20,000 plastics eggs filled with candy..Every kid got about 200..You get so frustrated you just would like to scream..And its pretty well that way with all of todays churches. What has happened? It seems pastors think they will offend people if they come on too hard with the gospel...that is the true purpose isnt it? winning the lost..I really dont get...Its depressing. You just want to cry..Whats your view?

As many, many were founded and are funded by religious entities.
Many differ in their religious beliefs; but thank God they are there to provide benevolence, help, and assistance to anyone of any religion (or lack there of).
These organizations help us to see the how the hand of God should and does operate today. And that through His creation. As our Lord commanded us to "love one another".

By a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, don't you think that if there were any intelligence in the cloud you would have gotten somewhere? It shouldn't have taken more than a few weeks to get to israel. Did they start worshipping the golden calf because the were tired of going nowhere fast?

Specifically, to those of you who "hate the sin, love the sinner", your attitude toward and treatment of gays is simply unacceptable. You can try to validate your homophobia through the Bible and "word of God" all you want, but your behavior and opinion is NOT okay. They say you are entitled to your opinion, but in this case, I do not believe anyone has any obligation to respect your opinions. Regardless of your reason and rationale, homophobia is not okay. Period. And I'm just gonna call you out on that. This is the civilized world and you and/or your Bible beliefs need to join it.

My question is, are there some opinions that should NOT be tolerated?

I won't tolerate homophobia. I look down upon all of you who make any argument against it. I realize that doesn't matter to most of you, but perhaps it should. People look down on you for your beliefs. I hope you at least stop and think about that.

Will his followers attack whitey, while allowing a FREE-Pass to the black males who hate their "bitches & ho's" in their music, thoughts & actions ?

An actual "Reverend" would preach forgiveness, instead of persecution. What do you think ?

Is anybody besides me tired of Jesus freaks? I am so sick of people trying to rub their religion off on me as though i care at all. You have no evidence that religion is right so why am i going to waste my life following it? I like smoking and drinking but i dont try to get you to do them just because i do. There are so many different religions and Gods out there on this planet that i think you have to face the facts: If one of them is actually right.... chances are, it's not yours.

So, why do so many of you say the Bible speaks directly to it? Again, it was someone's interpretation of the scriptures...someone's interpretation, of tradition, customs, and beliefs...someone's interpretation of dialogue and words...

What is the difference between mind and spirit. What defines one as "i am"> Is it the mind or the spirit or both, perhaps? What is spirit?
