No, they wouldn't, because religion is just a convenient excuse for people to be homophobic. If they didn't have religion to blame it on, they'd find other reasons for their views on gay people.

Neither God nor the bible tells Christians to be cruel.

It is my own personal opinion that God has a special area of the hot place for people who would use him and his word as a weapon of hate.

While the bible may say homosexuality is a sin, it's not even part of the top 5. Nor is it something Jesus himself mentions.

However, GREED is a big sin. People like Pat Robertson busy making money hand over foot when Jesus says it's easier for a rope to make it through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to gain heaven.

Why would people follow a man with no intention of actually going to heaven?

If God was disproven, I'd change my views on alot of things. God says to hate the sin, but love the sinner. If God didn't exist, and we really are just animals, well I think in the wild the herds kill males that try to mount males.....

Is not important if u believe in God or Christ or not..
u, as all the gays, read newspaper and NOT READ church's documents...
church say us what is better for everybody
what is natural...
but never hate sin
a real christian (as jesus) hate the sin and love the sinner..
but cannot say "u r right" if u r not...
because he loves u
(sorry about my english)
Than u can do whatever u want
God too leave us free to do whatever we want without kill us...
but He say you what is better for u
thats all
(he knows u He made u)

God asks us to love everyone. IF God was disproved, we would have bigger problems than views toward gay people.

Ted Haggerty would. He'd be the grand marshall of the next gay pride parade.

Hypocrite.

Change does not come quickly to all people.

For some reason violence, torture, and war have been more readily accepted in history than tollerance and equality.

God or not, I can imagine loving another of the same gender, the sex part I can't. Sorry, it just does not make sense to me. But at least I'm honest.

After becoming an atheist I couldn't come up with a reason to dislike gays. Perhaps growing up had a lot to do with it as well.
